I take it that's a Bassani....I realize the equal length head pipes are the best for performance, but I think that extra loop of pipe material looks silly. Guess they couldn't shove the extra length of pipe elsewhere.

Would be concerned about heat from the "U" in that pipe for rider or passenger. :nixweiss:

Given the right combination of parts, the Bassani system pumps out gobs of power. Great sound too although a bit on the loud side when you really get on it. As to the loop - - -  it works.

IMHO it's damm ugly!  Looks like a big loop of intestine hanging out the side of your bike.

I've seen a lot of fugly exhaust systems. Remember FUBAR ? Damn those massive 2 into 1 systems they made for Shovels were fugly; but they ran like a raped ape. If you're buying an exhaust purely for looks then fine, but sometimes you give up cosmetics in the name of performance or at least have to take sort of a 1/2 way stance. I never liked the Bassani look, but Bubba_T put one on his 03 SERK on recommendation from Dave Mackie after Dave had worked his magic on Bubba's top end. That's the fastest SERK I've ever seen. Gotten used to the loop and it's actually kind of cool. Somebody once said "unless you're the lead dog, the view never changes " Dare to be different.
