Interesting thread.  Picked up my 2012 seeg Saturday.  Took my wife for short 30 mile drive on Sunday, her fist ride and the only one so far.  She immediately complained about the left foot board vibrating, right one was just fine.  Plan to adjust them up a bit, but now I wonder what would actually cause this, I thought she was sitting on her hip crooked, putting more weight on her right foot.  Wife weighs 105 lbs, 5' tall.  She barely fits on the passenger seat with the rider backrest in.  She likes the snugness, but concerned on long rides when she is bundled up, need to check the tourpak position.  On our 08 ultra, you could put two of her back there.   I love the bike, handling and surprised on the change in the clutch, at least to me.

I assume instead of SEEG you have an SE Ultra Classic, as you mention a TP.  The Lumbar Support in the TP backrest takes up at least an inch more space than the other, older version.  My wife is what I consider small...5'3", 125lbs...and it was a bit crowded for her back there, and it caused issues with the driver's backrest.  Get the George Anderson TP relocator plate and move the TP back 1.5".  It has holes for 1", 1.5", and 2.5", but 1.5" puts it back far enough for my BSR's needs.  Takes about 20 minutes to install.  If you do a search on here, you'll find a lot of folks using his product.  He's old school...no website, so you have to call him:  309-762-6291.  Great guy/great product.

Yes, SEUC,  I realized after my post that my "bud" enlightened fingers last night did not do what I told them to do and typed whatever the Hell they wanted!  Thanks for the info, I will do some research.

Hmmmm, now it won't be until this weekend before I can see if mine is doing this also... :nixweiss: Larry, that George Anderson relocation kit is on my list and sounds like it would benifit you too! :D

I am watching this thread closely. I just got a 2011 CVO RGU last week, and my wife can't last more than 20 minutes on the bike due to vibrations in the footboards. I went back to the dealer and they told me just to leave the wife home. I then spent $180.00 on new mounts for footpegs and a set Kuryakyn isolation pegs. It made the problem only slightly better. I am just beside myself on what to do. I have noticed that the amount of isolation rubber on the driver footboards is like 4 times as much as the almost non-exitant isolation on the passengers. Wondering if there are other passenger footboard options that provide better isolation similar to the drivers boards. My wife is ready to go back to the salesman and punch him out. He told her this would be the most comfortable ride she ever had. Kinda pissed that $36,000 and they tell me I should just leave her home.

Same bike, but no issues with the floorboards that I know about...at least the BSR has not complained about it.  The driver's floorboards "float", so there's more there than meets the eye.  Have you checked all the exhaust clamps, like the one holding up the crossover, the muffler hangers (and rubber), etc?  Just a thought...

Be sure to take your camera! We'll want to see the photos.

I know kuryakyn has a lot of passenger options, have you checked their full lone to see if there ones offering more isolation?

Ditto.  Something is wrong.  Don't let them blow you off.  Make them check it out, find it and fix it.   :2vrolijk_21:

LOL, it will be a sight to see.

I have been all over Kuryakyn's web site. I find it difficult to figure out which ones will fit. Plus, it's an expensive process trying different setups. I'm already out $180.00 for trying the foot peg option.

Kuryakyn is located right across the river from me but they don't have a showroom. I would suggest you give them a call 866-277-9598 and ask for fitment products for your bike. If you purchase them from a local dealer and they don't do the job you should be able to return them. My dealer would allow that. I have lots of Kury products on our two bikes and strongly recommend them.

I still have the problem.  I had the bike back to the dealer and they can't find anything wrong.  They have been more than accommodating, removed the primary, clutch basket, inspected the bearings, etc.  9,000 more miles and no improvement.  I would think if it was a bearing or other mechanical issue it would get worse, but it hasn't.  Right side still solid as a rock.

I I checked and double checked all the exhaust clamps, have even replaced the exhaust since then and still the problem exists, and still only on the left side.

I took the rear floorboards off my Road King Classic, which she loves to ride on the back of. and swapped them with the ones on the SEUC.  They seemed to have much better vibration isolation than the fancy, much better looking SEUC ones.  Took a ride, a while it was a little better, it was still unbearable after a while.

Still frustrated.  I'm kind of hoping the flywheel shifts on me soon.  Maybe it's out of spec on the primary side. But then again, I think I would feel the vibration if that were the case.

I don't know about floorboards not had a problem with those , but the George Andersen relocation item is first rate. About a 30 min. Install but you will need another pair of hands.

Motor mount(s) bad?

Probably already checked, but...exhaust pipe (or clamp, etc.) touching floorboard mount?  That could transmit engine vibration to board.

BSR ride number 2 last night, about 50 miles.  Only differences were - I adjusted the rear shocks and she road with her cycle boots.  As we road I placed my hand on first her left foot, then her right (wasn't brave enough to do both a the same time!). I couldn't tell much difference, slight if any.  She said it was still there, but not as bad and she was getting used to it.  We are rollling down the road on a V twin, will never be without some good vibration!

I still plan to elevate them and rotate up 10 degrees or so.  I think her boots made the most difference.  Plan to order the Anderson plate, but she seems to be enjoying the snugness.

11000 miles and still the same problem.  I have checked everything.  Needs to go back for the 10K service.  I guess I'll have them look at it again.  I just don't get it.  My 2011 Road King is just fine.  Of course there will always be some vibration, but it shouldn't be so bad it makes her limp when she gets off.  I'll have them check the motor mounts.

Has anyone else who had this issue found relief?

Just a suggestion not a solution, have any of you tried gel insoles in there boots or shoes? It may isolate the vibrating enough to tolerate. Plus you can usually buy some gel insoles for around 20 bucks which is a lot cheaper than buying new seats, foot pegs and what evers. Just a suggestion to try.
