jagerbomb mods on a OB SESG2
« on: March 28, 2011, 12:33:07 AM »

When I bought this bike in November I had no idea I would end up where I am now. I planned on swapping over a few items from my 2009 FLHX and that would be the end of it. Fortunately I"ve spent some time on this forum and found it was ok to spend more money on her. I started with some skull axle covers, timing cover and derby cover

Then I changed out the bag latcheswhich got rid of the reflectors. I also removed the one by the rear plate and the ones on the forks

I had bought the floorboards when I had the 09 so they are the streamliners, haven't got around to selling these and buying the rumbles.

One ride convinced me that I had to modify the exhaust. After I read many of the threads here I purchased the 2" Fullsac baffles and a B pipe from Fullsac a few weeks later and a TTS tuner. That woke it up and it sounded much better. I kept reading about the Vance & Hines High Outputs and while in Daytona I bought a set and had them installed right there on the spot. Now she really sounds awesome.

My last bike was black pearl and hard to see at night so I had added some leds to light up the engine and wheels. My wife wanted purple lights for this bike so I went with the Wizard lights from Custom Dynamics. I can change the colors by remote and a bunch of other special effects. I did a pretty major dissasembly and integrated all the wiring into the factory harnesses. I used 10 of the light pods and it really shines at night.

I've tried several different headlamp bulbs like the PIAA and HID. I finally found that I really liked the stock highbeam which is a H9 which is 2100 lumens and a HID low beam that I got from HIDextra.com. I would go LED but I'm not a fan of the driving lights, which seem to be almost mandatory.

I wear a size 13 boot so I like the extended length shifters. I got these used so I don't know the brand but they are very comfortable.

I had a Garmin Nuvi 660 on the old bike and moved it over to this one. I've had it for three years and never realized I couldn't add routes that I made on the computer. So I bought a new large screen Nuvi 2450LM and made a custom mount for it. I also added an Escort 9500IX Radar detector and made a custom Carbon fiber mount for it as well. I hardwired both accessories into wiring harness.

I also added a remote switch to mute the radar. It also has a light to grab your attention. I just ordered a Marc Parnes high intensity led kit that will grab my attention better when the radar signals the POPO is close by.

I ordered a new underseat paint protection film and cut it down to a more managable size. I also put on a 4 point mount. Italked to the FBI guys and they are coming out with a hidden one that will work with the rack I have
