Trying to bring this back to my original question. Why, if as Twolane says the 150 will grip longer but break loose all at once, do people want them ? Is this a vanity thing ? Bigger is better from a looks standpoint. I just don't know what the fuss is all about on a bagger tire. I want a tire that holds the road in corners, manages not to hydroplane in the rain and stops reasonbly well. Seems to me that the 130 tire is the only size that does all this. I ran through a couple of sets of Metzlers, running the 140 on the rear and came back to a 130 Dunlop for the wide white look. IMO the 130 Dunlop performs better than the 140 Metzler. But, my biggest concern is with riding in the rain, since I don't get a lot of practice doing that here in Dago.
