I wear a 1/2 helmet sold by HD but made by Shoei.  It is a St Cruz model it is vented and very light HD no longer sells them but Shoei still does.

I have a few for the hot summer days and found nice full face made by HJC.  Kinda goes with the bike.  Let's Roll

I hated spending the money, but I've been pleased with the Arai Classic SZ/c units purchased for my wife and myself.  I had been in the J & M booth at Black Hills HD twice and once down in Daytona and broke down and made the purchase earlier this year.  I really like the built in mic and speakers.  The sound is great.  I usually like the wind in my face, but 500 to 1000 mile days makes for a little too much air and the face shield provides a more comfortable ride.  I find that I can raise the shield up and it stays in place.

The helmet is set up with a short cord on the helmet that plugs into a lower cord that matches up with your particular bike.  One advantage of this cord with the FLHTCUSE is that you can leave the lower cord plugged into the rear plug and avoid that pain in the tail experience of trying to plug into that poorly located jack on the rear of the CUSE.

Interesting thread. For some reason, I very seldom check this topic. I've been riding for almost 30 years and have always worn an open face helmet. I used to smoke, so the full face ones never appealed to me. Now that I'm old and don't smoke anymore, and having returned from a very hot trip and a sunburned face, I have ordered a Nolan X1002 from J&M with headset. Should arrive today or tomorrow. Had a hard time deciding between it and the 102, but they will exchange no problem if necessary. I'm sure it will take some getting used to,  especially since for the last four years I've worn a lighweight half helmet. Lots of advantages to both styles, but it's sure been nice not to worry about someone stealing my helmet. Guess I'll have to lock this one up. My wife is starting to want some face protection as well, so this could get expensive.

Then there's always the "...switchin' from my Apache chopper to my 2 wheel chopper and forgot to take my helmet off" look. Pretty darn good with a boom mike attached - complete with bonus internal sun visor.

Got my Nolan X-lite in the mail yesterday.  Fit is perfect, just slightly on the tight side which will loosen as the pads stretch.  It will take some getting used to being such a big change from a light half helmet, but I'll break it in slowly and this winter it should feel great. The only feature I was dissapointed with is that it doesn't have the single latch to raise the front. When I was comparing features between the 102 and the X1002, the literature seemed to indicate that feature was on both helmets. But as good as this one fits I think I'll keep it. Was messing with it in the garage last nite and figured out that I can actually open it with one hand anyway, just not as easy as the single lever. Also unsure of how the dark half shield will work as the line could be right in your line of sight. Need a few miles to test that. Speakers sound pretty good too. Can't wait for Sat AM to ride and test.  Just realized that I spent more on this one helmet than I've spent on others combined for 30 years.  LOL

I spent more on one Arai helmet from J & M than I did on my first motorcycle.  It was a new '72 Honda CL100.  After getting the bike, I was able to quit walking to school, barefoot, in the snow, uphill both ways . . .

Also unsure of how the dark half shield will work as the line could be right in your line of sight.

I removed that from my N102 after just a few miles.

HJC CL2 half-helmet... I buy a new one every few years. Always in white for visibility and because it's cooler in the sun. Then I stick things all over it and trash it up.  I would stick an Eagle Rider CVO sticker on if Don would have them made
