Bill, whenever we see each other again try mine for awhile.  It's the 102 in an XL.  I initially had a large and had slightly too much contact at the ears and a bit elsewhere too.  The XL is fine though.  The latch is easy with either hand.  Wear it for part of a day while we're out farting around sometime and see what you think.

Thanks Don, I will take you up on that in April...

I admit, the only reason I have a real helmet is for when it rains...I prefer  the beanie or none...that said, if you look at a pic of us on the Dragon, you will see us wearing real helmets...Anne was a little upset after the Wednesday accident and then was very upset after the Thursday Accident right in front of us.  Friday, she wanted to wear the real ones.

Not wearing one is NOT an option for me....but, I bought a Bell Mag 8 (great reviews on webbike site), which I plan on using for longer trips because of the communication deal...it's really a nice helmet, and very reasonable)...but, it certainly doesn't look at cool as the "shorty" helmets.

Big problem I have is with my buds, I bought the yellow to go w/ my banana and to be seen but now I get an incredible amount of chit about the color. I wish I had a dime for everytime I've heard "You must be a closet WINGER" or "where is your matching yellow Goldwing". When it came in I put it on and my wife said "of course you understand I will not admit to knowing you when you have that on, you look like a 200lb bumble bee in heat."

Ignore those....well, ahem, "Buds" >:(

A couple of years ago I read an extensive test of factors that go into making motorcycles and riders

TC, Don't want to hijack but does the J&M system work with the electra glide? I want to be able to hear music in the helmet and was curious how this works. The bluetooth from what I've read can deliver your gps to the headsets also. Is this how your's is set up?

Bob, I don't have the Bluetooth feature in the helmet, as it is available on my GPS...I only use it to let me know I have received a call.  As far as the connection to the helmet from the SEEG, I think it's just a slightly different cord, which J&M also sells.  The cord is much easier to plug/unplug, as there is a small "pigtail" hanging down from the helmet headset.  If not using, it will tuck into your jacket collar or t-shirt with no bother.  Sound is good...it's not a Bose Headset, but is light years beyond the HD "premium" headsets.  Base tones are lost on a motorcycle, regardless of what you have, IMO.

[smiley=oops.gif]  Bob...I forgot those models don't have the intercom/CB module/console, and I'm not familiar with the radios for the 04/05's, so I can't help you.  Is there an Audio Out on the radio itself?

I called J & M today and talked to the tech. service dept., right now the bluetooth feature is only wired. He said they hope to have the wireless bluetooth available by late March 07. This time of year and until April, I am wired for my liner and gloves. I just can't stand another wired connection. I will wait for J & M to catch up with the wireless technology in the spring. Got to test my new Nolan this past weekend. Cold as hell and I am as happy as a pig in mud. Worked great! Very good peripheral vision, very quiet and boy do I love that chin thingy. I'd have to give this helmet a 10+ [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Mark,  Going to have to agree with you on all points, particularly the warmth factor...very, very little air gets into the helmet unless you want it there (vents).  I've used this helmet on the Vrod as well, and am amazed at how effective the little chin flap thingy is at keeping the air from coming up under the chin and into the helmet.  I also love the adjustability of the visors for various conditions and ventilation needs.  Best, most comfortable helmet I've ever had on my noggin'!! I agree with that TC. I'm not much of a helmut person but since we will be riding to Nelson next summer I picked up the Nolan. Road with it this weekend and really liked the way it worked. I just wish there was a system to be able to hear some music in it.
