Howdy,  I'm 6'3" with a 36" inseam.  The bike fit me pretty good stock.  I bought the parts to assemble duplicates of the passenger pegs and I am using them as highway pegs.  I also installed the HD 12" Wind Splitter windshield.  I like wind in my face but the stock wind deflector was awful.  The HD 12" Wind Splitter looks cool and provides the right amount of protection for me.

Assuming he last question relates to a SERG for a tall rider, the Serg has one inch shorter springs, front and rear, than the Ultras.

Thanks,, Could you put the 09 Ultra front & rear setup on the 09 SERG??

Yes...but if I was going to do that, I'd do it with something other than HD parts.  There are several options for MUCH BETTER shocks and fork springs/cartridges than anything HD puts out.  Progressive Monotubes are well regarded for the front...you'd want the 13" version to have full suspension travel, and a pair of 13" rear shocks, but again, not HD shocks.

Crusty, when you put your mini apes on, did you have enough cable length or did you have to buy longer? I'd like to put a set on my SERG.

Been there my friend, several bikes.  Here are my proven comfort items:

1.  Do the seat first.  I like HARTCO.

2.  Do the handlebars next == I like Chubby 515 on my ROAD GLIDE.

3.  Then I do the windshield last -- I like CEE BAILEY or CLEARVIEW.

I have been thinking about getting a 09 SERG,, I'm 6'4" ,, Looking for advice on such things as ,,,,,,,,,,,

1.Windshields
2.Seats
3.Lowers
4.Anything else that I need to do to make the bike fit?

6'3" here... I've kept the stock shield, put Wild 1 0515 10" mini apes, which improved hand position, but haven't decided on a seat yet. Stock wasn't too bad, but loooking for the perfect solution is tough. As mention above, if you can hook up with some others to try what they have, that is the best solution.
Crusty, were you able to use the stock lines with the Wild ones 0515 handle bars?  Where did these bars move your hand position to in relation to the stockers?  Thanks.   I'm really looking for some bars that are two inches closer to me and two inches taller.   Thanks   Rod

I have an '08 FLTRI and am 6'4" also,  I changed to the Sundowner seat, Wild One 515 bars, a Clearview +2" shield, and floorboard extenders.  Fits like a glove.  Oh yeah - add some highway pegs that you can adjust  so you can stretch out on long hauls.

FWIW, I added the soft lowers, and it cut the turbulence WAY down.

Bill
Bill,  how did the 515 bars adjust your hand position?

I'm 6'3 as well and I decided on the new 2011 SERG HD windshield and its perfect for me. Before it came out I used the 8" Klock and it was nice but too much wind for me. I just had my seat built at Daytona bike week last fall in Daytona. Went with the Corbin solo with a passenger pad. It is great moved me back about an inch and factory bars are good as well. All in a seat was the BEST thing I did and everyone is right do it first!!
