It's a decision that you'll have to live with so I'll not say either way. However, I wiil share my experience with you.
As one of the first 04 SEEG owners and having rode that bike ocean to ocean, Canada a couple of times and Mexico.....many, many mods to make it suit me and my needs......when it came to buying the 2010 SESG, secreatly I wondered if I was going to have remorse and really miss my SEEG. I kept that thought to myself, but it was there and at times was pretty strong......I loved that bike!
I still had it when I first got my SESG however, it didn't get ridden at all. Once it was sold, to my surprise, I never looked back. The SESG is just so much more than the SEEG could ever be. The improved handling with the newer frame style, the added safety of the ABS brakes (it works remarkebly well, even on a wet road or sand), etc.
That's my experience, that's my story and I'm stikin to it!

By the way......rode another SEEG a short while back......felt like I was riding a tractor and couldn't wait to get back on my SESG.
