I'd go.  That'd be a destination trip for me.  Out in the west Texas hill country for at least three and a half season comfortable use on a bike.  It'd support a couple new hotels and restaurants in the area immediately around it.  So the "trickle up" effect would be an expansion of the local economic base first to the state and then to the whole country.  One little track like this could cure the whole damned recession.

It would be our patriotic duty to support it.  Hill country would be ideal.  The occasional jack rabbit or deer crossing would add a little excitement.

Hmmmmm....wagering with video cameras down the entire track with bets on who buys the farm vs finishing in 1 piece?  Beats Lotto.

Plus it would cost less than a trillion to build.

Thanks, do I get royalties if this idea takes hold ?

Hate to say it but prolly an EMT station and a full service towing business in the middle as well

Full leathers, full face helmets and those whatchamacallit Heims devices req'd too.

B B

Sure. Plus you get to name the track.  As long as you do not name it "Destination Spiderman" or get Paul Sr. to cut the opening day ribbon.

Good idea on the EMTs.  Might need an ER & a mortuary & a cemetary as well....

Hmmmm... Require enough life insurance for participants to ensure appropriate burial, since the way some of these squids ride, it would be inevitable?

And think of the service done for humanity just by eliminating some of the crotch rocketeers who would eventually remove themselves from the gene pool anyway.

To gain sovereign immunity and make it stick a Government would have to build it.  So the cost might be....

Ah hell, we're talking Texas.  Texas could do it ok.  If the Fed did it cost would be $6.4T and then they'd have to start over because of problems with the Environmental Impact Study (that was necessary because of potential spillage from the deep fryer at the hot dog stand).

Maybe the ranch they build it on - 50 miles is just a lil spread in some parts - could declare sovereign immunity by being a separate nation. Some in Texas already are trying that, sort of.  Speed Demonland?

There would be alot of fried stuff, & on hot days they could use the track as a grill to save energy.

Have had a few beers so am PUI & as such will not post my idea about a combined paint ball game challenge with the riders on the track.  Needs fleshing out or I need more  :drink:

I tried to secede once.  Was gonna be "The Federal Republic of Don."  Wrote a Constituion and sent letters to a bunch of foreign capitals asking to be recognized and to get foreign aid.  I don't want to build a track though.  Just want to use one.

I remember that.  You were going to be one of the new Finger Nations?  And I heard it was "The Feral Republic of Don" but my hearing sucks.

If you ever do nationalize, I will immigrate illegally but refuse to pick your tomatoes.  Maybe China could build a track for you?

Well on 3 different occasions i decided to open her up and the results where the same. I hit 180 KM, 112 MPH (the Zummo 665 says 177 km) Someone said that riding at these speeds with a batwing is like riding with i piece of ply wood.....i believe him now. All 3 times once i hit 180 KM the bike would just start wobbling. I could not go any faster because the wobble would get worst as the bike picked up speed. Who knows....maybe the air is thicker up here in the great white north. I will be traveling south in 9 days going to Nashville then New Orleans. I will try again just in case the air is different or maybe there is less wind but i really do not think she will go any faster.

Sounds like a plan.. just watch out for the cagers with bubbles on the top or in the grills.
