I really like this one. Didn't know they were back in business. I know they are pricey, but for the price of a CVO you get a 105 ci and Baker 6 spd, so I'm surprised I haven't really seen any around.

We are having the national Indian Ralley, at Indian Point in Branson, MO. the mddle of May.  Factory is there, and hundreds of Indians.  Unfortunately, I feel the new Indians lack a few things that the CVOs have, such as fairing, info center, rubber mounts or counter balanced engines, etc.  I just sold my totally customized T3 Indian Terminator, and miss it to no ends.

All in all, except for the price, the new Indians are great bikes.

Nothing against the new Indian company, but I attended their ride invite in Milwaukee last year and was very disappointed. I have always liked the styling, and was really excited about this event. They took groups of like 10 on a bunch of their demo bikes and went for a little guided tour around the city.

First thing I noticed right off the bat was, these things are terrible rattle traps. Once you get over 2,000 rpm, everything starts to rattle, getting worse and worse until you get near 3,000 at highway speed, and it's mind numbing.

Then if you are in gear at a steady pace, and let go of the throttle, then give it gas again, there is a big clunk. Very unnerving. Last but not least, as I was riding, the air cleaner came off, and I was luck enough to catch it, but you'd think they'd check these bikes out a bit.

After the ride, I tried to ask about some of these issues, and they copped an attitude, as if I wasn't a real biker with those kinds of concerns. I just shook my head and walked away. After jumping back on my bike, I was very thankful I chose what I did.

Again, I love the look, but when you ride these things, it's as if they were put together from a bag a parts by high school shop class. It blows my mind that they new owners don't take the time to work on these issues. Frankly, if they performed as 'tightly' as a Harley, I'd give them a serious consideration after I get rid of my SED.

Any guesses as to how long they will be " in business " this time?

I have a friend that has done all the prototype parts for them, I will see if he can get me some info on volumes and photos.

Did the rattles stop after the air cleaner fell off?  Maybe that was all it was.
You would think low production and the price they would be well put together.
Bummer.

Nope, the air cleaner fell off right away. I spend most of my time touching various items to try and isolate the rattles, and they were coming from everywhere from windshield hardware, to console to saddle bags, floorboards. Sound like a bag of screws and bolts in my back seat. We even swapped bikes 1/2 way through and they were all like that. It's as if nothing was meant for each other.

Real shame, and hope they listend to the constructive critcism. Someone in our group also asked about the trans clunking and they said they were working with S&S and Baker on a fix, fwiw.
