Alright! Here is a question from someone who should be considered as far from a gear head as you can get...
So you got these great mods that have provided an increased motor response in the performance of the bike...Have you be enjoying this response frequently? Perhaps even showing off for the boys and girls? Giving a few foregin bikes a race for their money? You get the question!
We all know that increased acceleration will cause decreased MPG in any vehicle. Is that what we are seeing here? If I am him and I have been with a SE V-Rod...twist fast and GO!!!!!!!! At least for a while...
Just some food for thought! After all I just ride...
Great questions and comments, and I don't think any of us can say we get he mods done then drive Miss Daisy. Short answer is first couple of days - yup sure did ring it out, wanted to see the difference. Now I am trying to see what indeed is the difference, so a few more miles and we shall know for sure. I didn't post this to complain, merely point out a fact - the work was great, the ride is now fantastic, but I took a bigger hit than expected hit on the MPG. Now for some reason everyone wants to pick on the mileage, not one comment on the great performance combination of parts etc..... So short story - I AM HAPPY - would do it again and don't think there is anything more to fix here, maybe wrist control

If the MPG stays where it s - wouldn't be the end of the world, if I want to change it, I'll change the tune. For right now the exchange of distance to MPG for time to MPH is just fine and a good trade off.
