Blue Ridge Mountains looking south west from Skyline Dr - NO ONE was around - not even a birdie - so quiet it "felt" abandoned.  Sure enough though - deer were right around the corners,  DOOF

VA RT 231 (the OLD Blue Ridge pkwy) south of Sperryville about 7 miles.  This was likely an one stop country store, post office, diner, etc.  Fantastic location.  Wish I had the bux to buy it !!!!! DOOF

Here are the coordinates for the abandoned snow fort location, a dozen miles north of Hebgen Lake, near West Yellowstone.

This is a good example of spring riding, when the snow is setup and provides access to areas normally out of reach, at least for stock machines; although the stock machines today perform like the mod machinery from a few years back.

Nothing abandoned here in the Tepee Basin area, that you can see, but this trench is still worth a look.

Thats Awesome! I usually hike up those with my snowboard on my back. It'd sure be easier to catch a ride to the top!
