You are so right about them being addictive.  I do believe Black Diamond has blazed a trail that many of us will be hard pressed to follow.  BD if you don't mind I will be in touch about the 513"s that just are not cutting it for me.  Also would like like some info on hard bags which you seem to have done that a time or two.  Sorry for the highjack, now enjoy your ride.

Good Riding

:orange: I GOT IT!  :orange:
It's gorgeous!  I had a friend ride it home (it was scary-windy...saw someone's hood rip off of their car and fly away...bad!) but today I'm taking it out!  :)
I can't believe I did it!!!
I'll get some pix soon...
Thanks to ALL of you for your help!

:nixweiss:
I am thinking of buying a CVO Road King (07), but know of no one who has one, or what to look for for issues/problems...I don't know if they are notorious for certain issues.  I have read that they can have overheating problems (this concerns me, as I live in the Los Angeles area and I have to contend with traffic issues), and that there was some recall/warranty work back in '08/'09.  How do I find out if the warranty work was completed?  How do I know if that "fix" actually took care of the problem?
Is this a good bike?  Reliable?  As awesome as it seems?  I love the Road King ride, and figure that the CVO gives me more bang for my buck.  I'm not a "hard rider", in fact, I'm usually the conservative one in the group, so I won't be abusing the bike...but I do like to have that oomph available to me if I need it.
Thanks so much for any and all advice you can give me!!
Kristin
I personally would not touch the 2007 FLHRSE, too many issues: poor motor design with poor part selection at assembly, crank runout, head gaskets, jog o rings and the list goes on. From my experience with a 2007 FLHRSE I say Buyer Beware.

fltrcvo--too late, I already bought it...had it checked out at the dealer, and they say it's fine...weren't those issues cleared up by service tags/warranty issues?

So far (and it's only been a couple of days) it's amazing...

Kristen,

The 07's haven't had any more issues than any other year HD.  Yep, there were some motor issues.  There's also been motor issues on everything since 1903.  That's it.  Ride it and enjoy.

an 07 rider with motor issues, but it keeps on running :2vrolijk_21:

I'm not sure about riding it like I stole it ;)  I'm pretty conservative out there.  But I ride it like I LOVE it ;)  Does that count?  haha   :-*
