I found someone with an 06 CVO Fatboy that added the Nacelle.. He let me have his 7" Headlight for $100 complete with bulb, mount and trim ring.

It looks good and can be seen much better in my mirrors. She's happy..

Next on her list is a Tourpac.

So now that the 2012 is out, are any of you guys thinking of going back to the stock windshield and adding the side deflectors?

No but I do plan to get that 2012 GPS mount and a 665 so Wifey can have NAV, XM & MP3s into her J&M CB AUX port. Did I mention the J&M Headsets are far superior to the sound quality on the H-D Headsets..

The bigger headlight looks much better on the Convertible ( but the windshild doesn`t fit anymore )

The Stock Windshield really looks cool on the bike but it is functionally worthless. This has changed on the 2012 model but at this point we'll keep the FatBoy Headlight, Windshield & Lowers (we didn't have tunes on the 2010 so it was easier to give up).

Installed the LED Headlight on my 2010.   I had been holding off as I didn't think it would me worth it,  until I saw another bike with the light on it during a recent poker run.   I could see him in my mirror among the 25 other bikes riding in a pack a 1/4 mile back.

After I put it on and rode at night,  I as well as a couple of my friends were amazed at how much light it puts out.  The amazing part is that it lights up the ditch on both sides of even a 4 lane and that's on low beam.

I kept my faring, (with home-made deflectors) and now I am really satisfied with the set up.   Price was worth it.

The lowers on the ConV are the chrome ones.. You can see them in my signature file below. I can look for a better pic, many of us are using them.

I remember that there allways have been a lot of insects on them and i had to clean more than before , wind protection was poor . But they`ve been chrome and looked good .  :)

Any chance you still have the headlight hardware off the CVO Softail?

Wife sold her ConV. He wanted the stock light put back on and the FB head light sent with the bike. Poof... all gone. About the only thing I have left is the fork deflectors and a set of RJ's mid frame heat deflectors.
