Finally got a chance to ride out to Amarillo from Albuquerque to meet Cobb/Buddy and Dee for lunch. Trip out on I-40 was 283 miles to Tripp HD. I took the long way home through Clovis, NM, Old Ft. Sumner (burial site of Billy the Kid) and then through endless country-side back to Albuquerque, NM

Buddy and Dee arrive at Tripps HD in Amarillo, TX after 4.5 hrs in the saddle from Oklahoma City, OK.

Inside Tripps HD, you seen one you've seen.......
They had a Slate and Ember CVO FLTRUSE on the floor but it wasn't as pretty as mine

This was the line in front of the Coyote Bluff Cafe waiting to get their 1/2lb burger and Chili. The cafe has 12 tables and no room for waiting inside. Hope there are some burgers left after these guys get done.

Lunch rush is over but we hear that the dinner crowd is twice as big (hopefully in number and not size).

Parting is such sweet sorrow - Buddy and Dee give me a parting shot as they get ready to ride ass back to Oklahoma.

High Plains HD in Clovis, NM ... there wasn't much between Amarillo and Clovis on US 60 - sorry. They had 4 Road Glides on the floor - 3 of them had Power Packs. Not bad for a town the size of Clovis.
