So this special tour pak relocation bracket by Anderson isn't needed? If it's not needed then my dealership was trying to steer me in the wrong direction. I asked them to relocate the tour pak thinking that there were extra holes and I think they just blew me off. Sure would have made our travels a bit more comfortable. I hate being blind so I just ordered the full service manual, SEUC update, electronics manual and parts manual. Not cheap but I like to have all the info I can get my hands on. Got a pretty good discount from Zanotti's.

Confusion here...No, the backrest I'm talking about is the Rider's backrest, not the passenger.  On the newer bikes with the Lumbar support for the passenger built into the passenger backrest, the TP is in effect closer to the Rider's backrest than used to be the case...by about 1" or more.  The Anderson plate allows you to move the TP back 1", 1.25", or 2.5", depending on what holes you use, giving your passenger more room behind the Rider's backrest.  For my BSR (5'3" and 125lbs) the 1.25" holes were perfect...moves the TP backrest perpendicular to the back of the seat.  It was worth the price of the plate...everybody is more comfortable now.

Oh duh   :rolleyes4:....thanks for clearing that up. I should have reread the post. I knew about the rider backrest being adjustable but didn't think about it at the time. I'll get the Anderson Tour pack plate and from what I was reading, 2.5 will be the ticket for us. I was reading lots of good stuff on it. Thanks again for clearing it up.  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

George is a hell of a guy, with a top quality product.  There's not too many people left that will send you something before you pay for it, just based on your word.  Those people will get my business every time.

Finally got Big Blue into dealer today for the seat nose piece stitch separation problem. They took pics and ordered a new heated CVO seat. He said it would of cost 1200.00 out of warranty. I asked about what a previous poster said about getting a new beefier seat, so he called MoCo and the said they have not moded the original seat with a beefier one so it will be same as OEM.
They also noticed that the BSR backrest was a little loose from the tour pack lid on the left side. Turns out a plastic mounting bracket broke, so they ordered that whole unit under warranty as well. Wow thats a lot of seat issues for only 2000 miles.
I am grateful my dealer is taking care of this without issue because I was verbally locked and loaded just in case.
On the bright side that darn seat boot scuff I had will be gone soon  ;D
