I must be the only one with this problem.

Mine hasn't frozen/locked up. But each time I turn the bike off, then restart, it starts all over again on same song instead of continuing from when I shutdown. Irks me.

I have a Nano 5 in mine and it kind of does the same thing sometimes. I have had some luck just forwarding to the next song.

You're not alone. Mine does the same thing. I'm going to check the radio sw version for both the system and iPod (both on the HD site) to see if the installed software is the latest. My iPod is always on shuffle as well. Seems to work if I change thhe source (i.e. to FM and back) or skip ahead.

My CVO RG Ultra came with the iPod and it sometimes does it.  Not every time but enough to be annoying.

Make sure the "shake" feature is turned off.  Not familiar with the new Nano, but the big GB larger models with hard drives have that problem.

I think that everybody is affected by this. I have started turning off the radio prior to shutting off the bike. Like most on this thread it is intermittent but the issue is that you don't figure it out until you are rolling. I couldn't get it working again using the radio after fueling up last week and spent 200 miles surfing the radio until my next fuel stop. Radio software might be the right answer here, I will get on that tonight after work.  One other thing that irks me is when it goes back to all songs, first song. I usually select a playlist / shuffle but when you start the bike is goes back to that same Nirvana song that starts with an A,

I have the same problem as well. I did the software updates to the radio and it still freezes up.

OK, weird stuff.  I hooked my Ipod interface unit up, plugged in my 3rd generation nano and it worked great!  NOW, rather than run the Ipod cable all the way to the saddle bags, my 8GB nano is completely loaded to the max, I made sure all my playlist are as I want them, and I simply attached the nano with velcro to the inside of my fairing to the left of the headlight.  I felt as seldom as I will need to pull it, it would be easy as removing the headlight and there you go!  It takes all of 5 minutes IF and WHEN i need to change something on my ipod.  SO I went on e-bay and bought a 4th generation nano for $80, the reason being, is that an Ipod player that i have in my closet at home will not work or charge later model Ipod.  So I bought this 4th generation with the intention of it being my permanent Ipod mounted behind the fairing......and I had the same problems as you guys have described above?  I put the square 3rd generation nano back in, and absoulutely no issues?  I don't know if that helps, but for whatever reason, a 4th generation nano (rectangular one) gave me issues, my 3rd generation (square one) works like a charm????

Mine completely locks up. I have to unplug it from the harness in the saddlebag and re-plug it. I've tried my iphone, my nano that came with the bike, and my 2nd gen 80gb ipod classic. All do the same thing. It's not an everytime issue but once it happens I have to unplug it to get it to work again. The radio just shows ---- as the track and ---- as the artist....pisses me off to no end. As other said I have to pull over to get tunes working again...
