Actually......I was jesting about Jock's camera taking so much better pics than mine.....that I don't have to post.  I do have pics that nobody else got (or posted yet) and I took more than a couple of him and Janice and of Janice.  I'll get to it as soon as I get the game on how to post lots of picture in one post.

Jock's camera takes so much better pics than mine because.....a.  he knows what he's doing.    b.  Because his camer is 10 times more of a "real" camera than mine.   c.  Because he's just much more imaginative than I.   d.  Because Jock has the gift of gab......he knows how to get the look that he's looking for out of his subjects.

And that, my friends, is why Jock is the man!

Terry's first marriage was to a Italian guy named Nick Bimbo. When we got married in 87 I gave her a new car for a wedding present just so I could put plates on it that said EX BIMBO. We still have the plates today and she still has a lot of fun with it. Now we have two grand daughters named Brook and Britney Bimbo from my stepson Nick Bimbo and his wife Nico Bimbo. So that's the rest of the story, you can't make this chit up.  Doc

After seeing all Jock's pics I don't need to post any.  Why does his camera always make the exact same pic look so much nicer?

Lens Hood is one reason...ALWAYS use a lens hood with a DSLR.  It helps protect the front glass too.  Also, if you use a filter on front of your lens for "protection", buy a really good one, like B+W, Hoya, or Nikon.  I use only B+W filters...they are brass.  Get the coated glass version of any filter you use for "protection"...makes a HUGE difference.  Expect to pay >$50 for a good filter, even a "clear" one.  Don't put a $20 piece of glass in front of a $300 lens...   Might as well use a windowpane.

I also noticed that Jock is using a full blown Nikon Flash in some of the photos, with a diffussor.  Another big difference on some of the pics of people with a dark or light background...fill flash.  I'm not going to give away any more of his secrets...

On a Digital "Point and Shoot" try not to have any sunlight at all on the front of the lens, even from an angle...washes out the colors.  Use your hand to block, or a hat, if possible.
