I have one and use it but I have to say, there are some locations that I just can't fit it in the location...the lower rear exhaust nut and the front nut

Pick up a tube of Permatex Ultra Copper ahead of time as the instructions call for it to seal both the slip-ons and the o2 port plug.

Uh-oh! Where am I going to get that here in the UK?  :-?  My Rinies should be here on Saturday, but if you NEED these things, why don't they include them? Not exactly a cheap package after all.....  What exactly is the stuff?

Do I need new exhaust gaskets, or can I reuse the standard ones?

You COULD get by with the old gaskets, MAYBE.  But you SHOULD get new ones.  You'll ensure a seal that way.

Well the "old" gaskets are of course just a few weeks and 7 hundred miles old, but I agree that new would be good.  But there's another item - $800 package, and they don't include a few bucks worth of gaskets, and a tube of sealer that are required?  Jeez!  >:(

:'( My wife is constantly complaining of her right leg getting too hot with the stock pipes...i would think that the true duals would help reduce that heat since the pipe is farther away from her leg. Does anyone have any experience with this or have any clue what I am talking about?

With true duals the crossover is removed thus moving one of the heat sources away from the rider. She shouldn't have a problem with the Rineharts.

Jim,

 1. That's the stuff you'll need and it doesn't take much. One tube will last you a lifetime or two.

 2. You'll be getting new exhaust gaskets with your pipes. Use them! I noticed they are a lot different (thinner) then the stock gaskets. I figured they know best how to seal up that interface between the their pipe and Harley's head.

New to HD,

Tell her her right leg will love the new Rinehart's.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Her left leg will now be the issue.......that's what I've found.  :-/

***Of course I haven't got mine dyno tuned yet since the install, so the rear cylinder may be running a little lean causing it to heat up the rear pipe a little hotter than normal.***

So once properly tuned I'm assuming all will be fine.

One of my only complaints with the Rineharts was that with pegs on the rear vs. having passenger floorboards the missus would leave burnt boot residue on the driver side pipe seeing that it is so close with the bend but after I got passenger boards it seems so far to have alleviated that problem.Only time will tell on that one. And you know what a pain in the ass it is to remove those burnt scuffs >:(

Yeah Yeah - actually it was the French that started you guys driving on the wrong side  :o - laugh that off - if you can!

I do believe that when Sweden changed to drive on the right side (which is of course the wrong side) from the left side (which is in my eyes is the right side) - Still with me?

Good  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Anyway when they changed they had a novel way of enforcing the new regulations - They had the trucks change first...

The cars and bikes soon followed ;)

Cheers
