No way, Jose   :nervous:  She's having to drive me around in the car now, and that makes me a nervous wreck, so there ain't no way I could stand it on the back of the bike.  With a guy?  Fugetaboutit... ???

here is a related topic

My accountant broke his foot and was moving around with a smaller modified cast on his left foot.

He was seen struggling to get his bad foot into the car (he was still driving with his right foot)
and a stranger came up to him and commented that "he was not going to drive like that".

My accountant was not in the mood for any crap  and told him to "F" off.

He gets a summons in the mail the next week to either surrender his license for 6 months or be charged with reckless endangerment.

The guy ended up being an off duty state cop.

That was first for me hearing anything like that.

That one just doesn't pass the sniff test.  Too many one legged drivers out there in automatics.  A buddy of mine is a state patrol and drove all over the place while off duty with a busted left leg.  Always said you just have to able to drive the car safely.

Terry,
Sorry to hear 'bout that. I had the same sort of deal years ago, but had to have the screws & plate put in to straighten out the thing. Ended up getting a 'left foot accelerator' so I could drive and get to and from work and bars  :drink:, and not have to have someone drive me around. If your insurance covers it, it's well worth it (http://www.plfa.org/). Portable and no real install to mess up the cager. Still have mine in the garage in case of need. If you're interested in trying it out till you heal, let me know. It's a solid piece so bit heavy to ship, but doable.

Hope you heal up fast!

Thanks, Joe...didn't know something like that existed, but what a good idea!  I'll check on it...I'm retired, so don't have to go anywhere each day, but having the wife drive me everywhere is not good either.

Come on TC, get a cane and mash the throttle/accelerator, you got one good foot, you're just  milking this thing to get driven around by the 'nurse'.   har.  spyder

Shush...I always brake with my left foot anyway, and I've already got the cane....don't want the "nurse" knowing about all that.

TC that sucks... sorry to hear this... but take it from someone that has artificial parts, and "Arthur" and his "Righteous" (Arthritis) brothers in other joints... it sucks to hurt... but when you hurt (feel pain) you are alive. Get well soon!!! :2vrolijk_21:
