found it... 103 and110 only from that list it looks like the "power pak" is standard

to

There are two different files that pertain to the Big Twins, the first one is just the Touring models, the second one includes the Softails and Dyna's.  On that second one, the Dyna's are shown as still having the TC96 (1584 cc).  So it appears that the Softy's and Touring models will have the 103 standard.  I'm surprised, but then I haven't seen the new pricing.  Hard to believe that Harley would give up the fat option profits on the Power Pak package to make it standard, unless of course they bumped the bike prices enough to cover it.

i think a part of the equation is the ongoing heat from the epa. there is less and less marketing of performance engine bits to the new bike buyer. its less risk & more profit for them to have models with bigger engines and sell a whole bike than to sell parts to bump a existing bike.

An unprecedented 7 years the CVO line has used the 110 engine. No other CVO engine has remained in the CVO line this long in the history of the CVO motorcycles.

Is the 110 engine that durable, reliable, scalable, and bullet proof that Harley brass feel there's no need to introduce another motor in their premium Motorcycle brand?

Will the 110 engine in the 2007 - 2012 (and counting) Harley CVO premium motorcycles become the motorcycle every other CVO will be judged against? Or, is Harley brass dedicated to keep using the same 110 engine and make annual refinements to it until it becomes as durable, reliable, scalable, and bullet proof of a platform that was originally intended?

Will the 2013 110 engine have welded cranks, trued and timken bearing?

One would need a crystal ball in the board room at Harley Davidson to determine if any major changes will happen with the 110 engine in the near future :nixweiss:

Don't count it out yet, I'm sure Harley has more to post on ARB

HD doesn't post on CARB (California Air Resources Board) web site.  All manufacturers have a deadline to meet with CARB.  I'm not sure what that deadline is but it has to be past.....the MoCo is already producing 2012 models and they're not going to start producing until they meet CARB requirements.  At least not for models that will be sold in Calif.

Or the 2012 MY? :nixweiss:   I don't believe that would be reflected in the CARB report.

The new "Switchback Dyna" probably wont produce any surprises either,

It will be a Convertable with a Fat Bob rear fender, no surprise there, another excercise of how to use the P&A catalogue!

Oh yes, I believe you're correct.  I'm just saying that for those released next month, CARB already has their test results and has approved them for sale for next month.  They can get something approved by CARB in say Sept. for a Dec. release.  CARB will have their information and test results and approved by CARB before the MoCo will start producing them.
