My installation will be comparatively simple. The "front" channel of the amp will be used for the fairing speakers, and the "rear" channel for the fairing lower speakers. The Hogtunes Hogpod tweeters will be wired directly to the front speaker outputs of the HK head unit. The amp inputs will be the high level (i.e. speaker) outputs of the HK, so the RCA connectors supplied with the RF amp kit's harness will be removed. The HK radio is already set-up as four channel with fader function.
The power, ground, and remote wires previously installed for the Arc 125.2 amp will be reused. EDIT: RF recommends using 10 ga. wire for power and ground. The Arc wiring is 12 ga. so I'll be replacing the Arc power and ground wiring with 10 ga. wire. Also, RF's installation instructions say to use no more than 30" length for amp's ground wire. Whether this is related to their Boosted Rail Technology design of this small amp, I don't know. But since my Arc wiring used a ground stud in front of the battery (i.e. more than 30" from amp), I'll attach the amp's ground wire to the ground stud on the upper triple tree; about 18" or so in length.
So, comparatively speaking, my installation will be a simple, plain vanilla, set-up. I'll post some pictures and information on the installation.
