Wow what a great travelog. Chris and Ann my hat is off to you both. Thanks for all the great pictures. Roger & Melony I can't tell you both how sorry we are that you got stopped at the border. Dave thanks for all the posting. I loved every bit of this post.

Duke, thanks for the kind words. We ended up having a great trip anyway touring Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota on as many two lane roads as we could find. I have a friend and forum member here who is an ex FBI agent helping me sort things out so we can return next year. Somethings very wrong with our system here in the U.S when anyone can illictly use any SS # for ID and no one checks up on the legitimicity. Chris and Anne are having a great time and we are glad they went on. He did tell me they have hit so much gravel from road repairs that he's glad they didn't take the Harley.

From Anne July 31st:

 Took the "green" bus into DENALI today, the way the real tourists go (actually the only way to see the park) It is really beautiful but Chris and I really are spoilt-we see much, much more from the motorcycle than looking out the window of a bus for 122 miles (8 hours) It appears that we won't get a peak of Mt. McKINLEY, the rain has taken it up a notch which makes the cloud ceiling just too low. Chris with his trusty maps has worked out a way home for us (about ten days worth) taking us along the Denali Highway tomorrow (100 miles of dirt) so-sing along -"We'll be comi'n 'round the mountain when we come..." OK you get the idea Enjoy some wildlife and rugged expanse. Thinking of you All, Annie
