After a lovely evening in Cambria, Sunday morning we headed east on Santa Rosa Road.  It's a great route but the winter has taken it's toll on the pavement.  We saw signs saying "Road Closed Except to Local Traffic."  After two days, we felt like locals.    :nixweiss:

The route is about 16 miles.  After about 15 1/2, this is what we encountered.  What to do?  What do you mean "closed?"

Note Joan shooting in the mirror.

After careful inspection of the situation and the "off road" capabilities of our CVO's, we took the advise of Kenny Loggins.  There's "No Lookin' Back Now."

We cleared out the debris and Bryan lends a helping hand.  Thought about the thread with the Ultra that fell in the creek....

Bet you're sorry you missed us!  We parted in Paso Robles.  Bryan & Tammy rode back to Fresno and I to Santa Monica.  Joan was tired of taking pictures but we had a great ride down Foxen Canyon into Los Olivos and stopped in Solvang and at Cold Spings Tavern.  In the end, there was no "Carmaggedon" but we had a great weekend.
