Today my CD player stopped working and won't eject. It was working fine. I have a 09 Roadglide SE. It sounds like it is trying to eject but won't. Has anyone had this problem and what was the outcome. Anything I can try to do? It is the stock radio, 10,000 miles on my bike.

radio comes apart very easily after removing the outer fairing and then radio, you should be able to get inside the radio to help the stuck disc out by removing the outer fairing, then you can take the radio out of the inner fairing, take the top cover off the radio, then replug the radio back in while holding the radio in your hand and then hit eject with power back on, and help the disc out ... many posts on fairing & radio removal

this is very easy to try before shipping your radio out ...

getting the outer fairing back on perfect is another story (many posts about that too) it's a skill learned from experience ... hint - remove headlight before putting fairing back on -  then snap headlight back in as the last thing to do. the 6  fairing screws vary in size and location, note their locations.

note: some home burned discs are thicker (and even thicker with a home made label) then store bought CD's, avoid the thick ones ... from yesteryear ...

Whats a CD? Is that anything like an eight-track or the fabled cassette that I have heard about?

Hi all,

Charlie, I did what you said, and it worked great. It worked so good I got 2 cd,s out! It has worked with 2 cds for awhile, I must have put one in on top of the other and didn't realize it. It has been playing without a problem till yesterday.


Thank you for your help! I did take the headlights out, it made getting the nose back on real easy. This is a great site.

Glad to hear that - when I hit eject sometimes no disc comes out till I hit eject again - that is what most likely happened to you, you thought there was no disc in there and added a 2nd one, I'll be more careful not to put a 2nd disc in as well ....
