Check the oil level-want to be half way between add and full.  Hopefully, it is this simple.

X2.

What MIGHT be happening is that there was too much oil in the crankcase to begin with and the oil mist has saturated the bottom of the filter element and is now dripping a bit. It takes a little while for that to happen, so that may be why it's just now showing up.  It's worse when running at higher RPMs.  It would not surprise me at all to find that any given dealership did not put the appropriate amount of oil in the bike when doing the dealer prep prior to delivery.  The don't necessarily come full from the factory.

As Bob mentioned, the motors seem to like it when they are about 1/4 to 1/2 a quart low.

stopped by the dealership mentioned the problem to the GM.  He said they had 5 come back so far with this problem, usually around this mileage.   According to him it is a problem with an o ring behind the breather which getting squashed.

Will see if their fix solves the problem after the 1K service.

thanks for the replies.  I have learned a lot on this site.

The same was happening on my 09 springer.  I have a heavy breather air filter (stock) on it and it was due to faulty o-rings.

Same on my 2011.5 SEUC. Arlen Ness Big Sucker air cleaner installed incorrectly. Some dealers get good wrenches..other not so much.

My 08 CUSE 110 with a Stage I AC will accumulate about a teaspoon of oil in the air filter every 500 miles.  I just open it up about that frequency and wipe it out.  If I don't, it will build up, saturate the filter media and start dripping on the cam chest.  Running oil level halfway on the stick or one 'X' from full makes no difference on my motor.
All bikes seem to have a weakness or annoyance:
- my 96 S/T tranny takes a bit of effort to shift and clutch pull is a little high
- my 05 Kaw drive belt has a tendency to "chirp" unless I lube it regularly with teflon lube

These things, including the oil drool, are minor issues, IMO (yeah, yeah, I know we paid a premium price for these CVOs....whattaya gonna do?  Buy a Honda??)

If you've got the type of cover on the A/C that allows, you can stick a woman's maxi (mini...whatever works) pad inside the bottom lip of the cover and go longer without worrying about the filter being saturated.

It seems like almost every Harley that I've owned has spit some oil from around or under the breather.  Most recently it occurred on the '09 CVO Fat Bob.  I pointed it out when I went in for the 5000 mile service and noted that I had used a quart of oil between the 1000 mile service and something like 4600 miles.  I got the service write up back showing something like, "Harley says that 1 quart of oil every 1000 miles is normal."

I run my motor full of oil and every other HD I have ever owned and have never had oil filter dripping problems but have a buddy that had a RK and now a CVO Ultra and both have dripped oil from the breather. I run/rev my bikes hard all the time, he babies his... I tell him this is the problem is just needs to make that thing suck harder but who knows.

Oil build up in mine but not enough to leak/spit out.  Don't loose sleep over it.

Had similar problem after doing a Stage II upgrade.   Used the SE Ventilator AC and the inside o-rings were screwed up on the install (my fault).  Replaced them and it appears the problem is solved.

I'm missing something......what "o" rings are you refering to?
