We find the stock bars a little too low and looking for something taller and more comfortable, open on styling.

Seeking photo's and recommendations to help us decide.

I never had them on my SEEG when I had it but I have them on my Street Glide......the Harley Touring Pullbacks.  They are 2" up and 2" back from stock.  There are a number of other members here that have them on their SESG's also.

The catalog and the HD website will tell you that you need to extend your brake line, etc. and it will also tell you these bars are polished stainless.  Wrong on both counts......they are chrome and a minor rerouting and you don't have to change any of the lines.

Wild One Chubby 575's.  Several have used them here, myself included.  Nice bars, 1.25" OD (not in the clamp area or the grip portion)...MUCH more comfortable wrist angle, and a little taller and further back.

That's just a couple of pics that show the bars on our bikes.  Don't have a link for doing the bars.  Jim (hd-dude on this forum) did all of our work but a number of other members here have done it and they all reported that it was straight forward, once you get the fairing off.  You have to remove the inner and outter fairing and the fairing cap.   I had it done when we were getting the Daktoa Digital gauges and some other things, so the fairings were already off.

Think I posted in most of those threads, various pics, etc.  My wife (the red 09 Street Glide) has since gone to the Klockwerks Ergo bars, which are also 2" up and 2" back but with more of a turn out on the ends (grips), even further than the Chubbys.  

She likes them a lot better, says she feels like the steering is more responsive.  I explained to her that nothing has changed in the steering....that it's just the more relaxed wrist position......more normal position of the wrist in relation to the hand/forearm.

I have the Wild Ones 575 also I love em. They are just right for me and I love the nice 11/4" look and feel.

You're not supposed to be fondling them Stu.

Because of the visable diameter, they are a nice looking bar.  But kind of like those tour pack hinges, not the first thing I notice on a bike (and may not notice at all) so I ask myself "is it worth the difference in cost....especially when there's so much more I need (want?) on my bike that I'll notice".  Decisions, decisions, decisions.  

But, you will certainly appreciate any bars that are 2" up and 2" back.....just don't know why the MoCo hasn't stepped up to what's more comfortable (and more in control) for the average rider.  I have very long arms and it's more comfortable for me, too.

 I believe what I'm looking for would be up 3"-4" and back 2"-3"...is there such an animal in regular production?

 If so, any photo's out there?

I'm sure there is Fatboy.....just google Drag Speacilties and a couple other sources to see what they have available.  Not common on baggers though......and you'll need to change some cables, lines, etc.  It can get a bit costly.

But I can tell you with your hands at the top of your fairing, you're definately going to need handlebar mounted mirrors and fill the holes in your fairing.
