These two were the stealth HD CVO Reps...many of us never had a chance to speak to them and some didn't even know they were there......
Would have been nice if they introduced themselves to the group..

Yeah, that would be nice.

I(and several other members)talked to one of them at length over lunch on FRI. Answered all he could and was very interested in what we had to say. We talked about oil coolers, and other heat related issues. Of course he could not say much about the water cooled deal. He said that the CVO division was the strongest in the HD family right now. They not only came down to enjoy themselves.......they know who butters their bread. Maybe a CVO trike next year! :nixweiss:!

Hopefully a trike that leans.

I talked to them. Nice guys willing to listen. They asked what it would take to make the leap, so I told them. Don't see that happening anytime soon. Maybe when they move into the 21st century or they come out with a trike for their aging customer base. The old legs ain't what they used to be!

I talked to them both.  Passionate about their jobs and interested in keeping the base passionate about the CVO bike.  We think the CVO line is something special, and they reinforced that view at Harley.  Lot's of pride in the bike, the design process they follow to pick models and trim and the all important production process to pull it off (with the ocasional hiccup).   They also realized the importance of limiting production so as not to degrade the brand and the value.

They were in the information gathering mode, although there was lot's of bike talk.  Very careful not to share information about what's next.  They were well aware that CVO customers spend more, and then spend even more, than the average Harley rider.  I commend them for the visit.  Says a lot about their commitment, and about the forum and the GTG, that they'd take time to get to know us and see first hand what winds our stem.  Impressive.  Might have to do an upgrade just in honor of their visit.

An upgrade or are we going to see you on an SEUC?

There's upgrades and then there's upgrades. I'm thinking the heavy breather from the Skunk. or maybe the Skunk. We'll see.

Regarding the CVO rep and the skunk-I believe he asked what the group thought about the "heads (emblems) on the bike.   Most said they did not like the skulls-he stated they were not skulls but Aliens..   Chip or Nancy will have to chime in as they were the ones that told me after I made a statement about not liking skulls .

Chip was nice enough to introduce me to the one rep but I wasn't smart enough to know he was a rep even though he stated he was from Milwaukee.

Uhm, really?

This exerpt is directly from the description of the "Skunk" on the Harley website; "...the fuel tank and fairing sport brushed-nickel "skull" medallions."

And if that's not good enough, then I've got some oceanfront property in IL I'd like to sell you.

I told Howie that they rode from Milwaukee because they wanted to meet as many of us as possible in the short time they had...

What a job.  Get paid to ride half way across the country...and back.
