Thank you so much for your kind words. God didn't pull the trigger on me yet, so I guess that means I live to ride another day. I was able last week to ride for the first time. I put about 250 miles on my new scooter. I have a love hate relationship with the hydraulic clutch. The plus is the engage point is much more sensitive than my old mc, but holding the clutch in when you are in stopped traffic is challenging. Over all I find the clutch stiffer than my 2009 mc. I could pull my old clutch with two fingers, not so with the new one.
I also noticed that there is a lot more engine heat with the bigger engine. This was a big negative that I will have to adjust to. But, I loved the power! Loved the sound of the pipes! And did I say anything about the "get up and go" ? Wow! Does she have attitude and I love it.
If you find the clutch too stiff... get a
VP70T Variable Pressure Clutch from Tak's Performance Parts. Bolts right onto the clutch, and reduces lever pull effort
by half... no kidding. I have one on my bike,
and I can literally pull in the clutch lever with my little finger. It is amazing. Every Harley should have one of these magical devices. It has spring-loaded weights on it that lean out as the clutch spins faster, and locks up the clutch solidly as the RPMs rise - but reduces the clutch pull dramatically below 2500 RPM. It makes shifting, and sitting at red lights, a breeze!
The VPC will turn your love-hate relationship into
PURE LOVE for your hydraulic clutch!

Takes only about 20 minutes to install. They cost about $200 or so, and you can sometimes find them on eBay, etc. Be sure to get the
VP70T and not the VP84T, VP84S, nor VP92T. The other models are for bigger engines and have stronger springs, and will not reduce the clutch level pull effort nearly as much as the VP70T will.
The US distributor for the VPC is AIM Corp...
www.aim-tamachi.comRegarding engine heat - getting rid of the catalytic converter in the head pipe is the first order of business to solve that. I run a Fullsac X-Pipe "B" (no cat) and their 2" baffles in the stock cans. It will get you better performance, and get rid of all the cat heat. Fullsac's "Stage 1" kit comes with the X-Pipe, baffles, and a TTS MasterTune unit, and Fullsac will send you a map that you can download into your ECM using the TTS unit and a laptop (you can download the software from the TTS site), and it will get you a pretty darn good tune just like that. I run their "Stage 2" kit, which includes Andrews 54H cams for even more performance...
