Bigger motor, and Water cooled would be nice... my 84 Yamaha Venture Royale was cool and quiet engine wise.

Blue Tooth... come on its old tech now
Proportional brakes like on the 84 VR I had or the newer BMWs
Bigger side bags... the standard ones are getting long in the tooth and are small and a pain to use compared to modern ones

More Orange black and white bikes... they are the fastest

Oil cooler location....makes getting off the oil filter a PITA, plus it plugs up with road grit from the front wheel

Useless, inaccurate air temp gauge (replaced mine with an oil temp gauge with sensor in the oil pan)

I don't have any of these issues on my 2012 Goldwing.  Just fill with gas, change the oil and RIDE !!!

My 08 Ultra SE3 just sits in the garage waiting for the next recall.

By the way there is a new replacement gas tank fill for the Ultra 's with a better designed fuel filter shell and "O" ring.

Top Plate assy/center fuel tank complete part number 75069-08C  This is the fourth revision of this part. Prevents the gas blow back in your face and the filter shell doesn't loose pressure over time.

I use the K&N 171C filter with the 7/8" nut.  Filter change is a breeze.

Every time I change my oil and filter I take off the oil cooler and clean all around it.  Your right, what a PITA.

Overall, I love the bike!

But, today I rode to work (22 miles one way) and it was 25 F @ 0600 hrs.  With the seat on low, it is still too hot, I have to switch it on/off.  On low for about 1 mile, off for about ~5 miles.  I wish I could move a little of the heat to the grips.  At 25 F and high speeds (yes, I ride way too fast) the grips aren't warm enough, even on max, with what I think are good heavy gloves.  When I was riding on 35-40 F mornings, I thought the grips were fine, but at colder temps, I could stand a little more heat in the grips.  I have light, medium, and heavy gloves. Maybe I need to go glove shopping?  I can't see using electric gloves when I don't use any other electric clothing.

And, the valvetrain at 2,200 to 2,800 rpm.  I hate to say it, but I'm kinda getting used to it.

The better tour pak hinges and retractable tether for the lid are on Santa's list for stocking stuffers.

I'm riding her every day this winter that's not raining or snowing, but I'll sure be glad when spring is here!

I thought the grips were fine, but at colder temps, I could stand a little more heat in the grips.  I have light, medium, and heavy gloves.

I haven't had heated grips until this new bike... I found that even in temps hovering around 20 to 30 above, all I needed were my Summer gloves... basically the standard leather, no insulation.  When I tried wearing my Winter gloves from riding the Wide Glide, I found that the heat from the grips doesn't transfer very well.
