When you find one that has a quiet valve train, let us know.  My GW, when I had it, sounded like a sewing machine, and my BMW K100LT, chattered like a squirrel...I've never had a bike yet where I didn't hear the valve train...

That's why we have loud exhausts and 400-watt stereos... to drown out the valve train clatter!

And oh yeah.. I LOVE MY CVO STREET GLIDE!!!

I'm sorry, I seem to have taken a couple wrong turns back there and I'm a bit lost.  All the complaints.....can you tell me if this is the Wing board or is it the Beemer board? :nixweiss:

I'd say the Beemer board as they're a bit meaner on the Wing board.  :P

Sledge, I love my bike despite the friggen valve train noise. Will try to take care of that this winter (not at a HD dealer). By the way thanks for the tip on removing the midframe air deflectors on one of your other posts. CAHDBIKER

Bitch, bitch, bitch... that's all you guys ever do... ;)  Tell me you don't love your bike despite its' faults.  (Don't lie.) Wait, are we talking about bikes or wives?

Chrome Triple-Tree Air Baffle (not sure why this baffle isn't stock on all baggers.)

Used to be (well, a black one at least) till greed yet again got the better of them and they realised we'd pay money to buy one.....

Some of my friends say they have no problem at all but then again they fill while seated on the bike.  Bad idea imo.  I sure don't want to get a crotch full of gasoline if one of those nozzles fails to shut off - as has happened to me before.  And I don't multitask well - like balancing the bike while concentrating on filling the tank.  Bad combo.

I do that - stand down, but holding the bike straight up.  But I can't think how your friends have no problem - it's not the splashback that drives me crazy, it's the 10 minutes to get the 6th gallon in!

No kidding!  I like when I get lucky and have a pump nozzle that will actually go slow. Some of them will only gush out at full force. I hate those... had one gush out all over the tank last week... luckily I was standing on the left side of the bike, and it missed drenching me in that wonderful gasohol smell.  :drink:

Yes, our petrol pumps over here are not the problem ones that you guys have - easy on all of them to go slow, but touring in the US has shown me how bad yours can be. And as for those that are the stupid, stupid, shrouded design where that rubber thing gas to be compressed for it to work - well, if we had them here, there'd be a riot!

Chrome starter
chrome calipers
and dare I say it, "liquid cooled engine"
That would solve many issues, especially HEAT!

To build a engine that could get over 7000 miles on it and not be in the shop for a set of new Heads, A wheel weight or rim that wouldnt take the front fender out at 3500 miles on bike. A motor that wouldnt burn your right side up on a 300 mile ride, valve train that is so loud that you  have to but loud pipes on so you dont hear it. From H\D a set of mufflers on it that sounds like a H\D instead of a honda bike that you cannt hear.

Well to me I think that having HD to make this beautiful luxury bike and stuff it with the most upgraded parts and when it comes to the heated grips, you have to order it. And the weird thing is that not all normal heated grip work with it. Specially if you want to replace it with the same heated grip style that came with it. It is really expensive.
