Devil's Staircase Pics

On Saturday at the MV GTG '11, a group of us took a ride on this road...this one goes up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Like Killboy on the Dragon, a company called Blind Kenny takes photos on what is referred to as The Devil's Staircase (Hwy 80).  I downloaded a few of the better ones.  Fun road and a great ride with great people!  Topped off with a great lunch in Little Switzerland!

Fourth one at the apex of the curve...plenty of ground clearance left, so could have carried a bit more speed, but I didn't know the road well enough.  This is why I keep my suspension at the stock height!!  The Legends and Traxxion are doing a good job here...

Great pics, Terry!  I actually think the first one is my favorite of the ones you posted.  The bike looks great and you look right at home on a Road Glide. :2vrolijk_21:

Looks about like you'd run out of tire about the same time stuff started hitting the pavement.  I'll have to say that on this bike, I've yet to scrape anything, and I've put it into some pretty tight curves here locally.  I used to scrape the '06 SEUC often (floorboards)...don't know if the frame is that much different, or if it's the 18" wheels/tires.  Same suspension components... :nixweiss:

There's not a lot of places to get photos on that road, but he's got a great location picked.  He and his wife shoot at the same time, so you get different angles from both of them.  They shoot Nikon... :2vrolijk_21:

The other part of what they call "The Devil's Triangle" is hwy 226, and they also shoot there sometimes.  I'd like to go back there and do both those roads again, from both directions...up and down.  It's quite a challenging road, but is in good shape, so it's a joy to ride.  Makes you focus your mind...

Thanks...I'm really liking the RG more and more everytime I ride it.  Very comfortable on the bike, and it handles really nice.  :2vrolijk_21:

Great pics Terry, don't care what some people say, the new frame, tire combo is great.
I, like you hit boards all the time, now I have only done it a few times, and that was trying to, just to get a feel for how far it would go.
Am kinda partial to the first pic also.
