Any experience with BR Custom Bars or Handlebar Lee's meat hook style bars?

I just Received my custom handlebars from Bill Ricard aka BR's Custom Bars his craftsmanship is outstanding I actually took my bike up to his shop and we spent three hours mocking up custom bars to my specs, tweeking them here and there as they were being tacked together, Bill is pleasent to work with and was very patient while I sat on my bike deciding whether I wanted the bars this high or shorten them, I like this angle, but we need to turn them in a degree, no turn them down a degree, and so on, while he was mocking the up, back and fourth on my bike! All of his bars are welded and polished by hand in house, then sent to a chrome plater, then back to him for buffing and final inspection nothing is out sourced. Unfortunately I will be getting them installed over this winter!      "DH"

I did not know a rug had handle bars....

I think the Wild 1 515 are about as tall as you can go, which are 10", some say the 12" work but tight.

10" are the highest without probs.....ie streaching the P out of the brake line!!

Hey Tequilla, with the 12 in monkey bars did you have to get all new cables and how far above the batwing are the bars. I'm thinkin the 12 in but not sure if I want the bars above the fairing. Thanks 8)

Montanakid,   I put the 12" bars on my SERG and did not have to lengthen the internal wiring, there is a plenty. Although I did get longer clutch and brake lines.

one more.  Got this set of bars from Carlini and they weren't what I thought they'd be.  Freight was outragious, so I cut, shortened and twisted the tubing to make this one of bar. 1 1/4" tube throughout, which made it necessary to replace the clamp with another one of piece.  A lot of work but I like them.

Gordy, can you tell us how they're different from what you got?  I mean what did they look like then?

These bars seem to come back more than 2".  How far back are they from stock?

These started as Carlini "Flying Apes".  I cut both uprights twice and sleeved them back together.  This allowed me to straighten out the outside curve and to reposition the hand angle after setting the pullback.  I can't remember what the stock measurements were but I didn't find them comfortable. These bars ended up approx 32" wide, 7" rise and 12" pullback.  I'll see if Susie has a pic of me riding and post it later.

Big fan of Carlini here. They are extrememly comfortable too. They are 16" Carlini Gangster Apes. Not a bagger or my CVO, but I do love the bars. I just got my CVO and am still undecided on which way to go with new bars. I dont know if I want two bikes with the same bars.....
