Hey Gary that's what I'm running. But not from Zippers. I have 130hp/125tq at the rear wheel. But I want more. Maybe a  500c.i. Boss Hoss will cure it.
WOW!!! So there was a reason to have the motor apart. That sounds like a lot of fun I can't wait to see and hear that at MV.

Yep, That's what usually happens. But my motor is making noises it shouldn't be after C.C. Oh well, we'll see how it holds together going to the MoCo tomorrow w/ Neal & the group. :-/ If it blows, maybe I'll just leave it there for Willy G. to ride & enjoy or push around.
Just read further in the thread and saw this. :( Hope everything works out and it's just something minor.

Hey Hogasm, did the colbalt powdercoat match pretty close to the SEEG's color?  I was wondering how that would look......you don't happen to have a photo before the explosion, with the engine in the bike do you?   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  ouch!  :( spyder

Perfect match. Had the powder coating done at Sumax and Diamond Heads did the cuts. I will look for my records tonight to fing the color codes from Sumax for you.

That doesn't sound good.  Something tied to that sudden oil pressure drop you had up there?  In any case good luck and hope it's a minor problem.

Whenever I started it, the exhaust percussion was a non stop...ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH... COLORADO....!  Just didn't seem right. But after a few minutes, it all cleared out and sounds more like potato...potato...potato...potato...potato! Now it runs great....damn was I worried! Must have been a stuck lifter or something drained from trailering. Whatever it was is gone. And all is good. Vroom, Vroom!

All is good dOOd. Must have been a ghost from Cripple Creek or something haunting me. No issues at all. Sounds & rides real solid. After 5 minutes of idling and a mile on the road all is cleared up. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Grover.....Did you change over to the Feuling Oil Pump and Lifters when you built the engine?

BLM, I was told to stay with the stock oil pump. And I'm running SE/JIMS lifters.  I'm still wondering about the stock oil pump myself, but that's what I was told to run [smiley=confused5.gif] All is cleared up and running good now though. Must have been a blead out lifter or something [smiley=confused5.gif] All is good now.

Just a thought.........to get more opnions.  Post your motor information on this site and ask the opnion of some of these motor heads if they think you should get a Fueling Rivera oil pump.  I've talked with several people since you and I talked in CC and the opnions that I'm getting seem to be pretty unanimous.

I'll ask Hals why they wanted me to stay stock [smiley=confused5.gif] I'll also discuss this matter with my dealer that assembled it 'cause they said the same thing [smiley=confused5.gif] Must be a Wisconsin thing  :-? Now I'm real curious to know why they didn't want me to go with a fueling, since the concensious out there is to upgrade.

Spider,
sorry it took so long to get back. This is one cylinder after everything let go. As you can see things got a little hot. My advice is make sure everything is right before spending the money to have this done.

Hogasm, good to see you are getting back on the road, that puppy sure got hot.

Side question, is your Donzi a Z32?  Had a Z22 and now have a 16 Classic for the lake.

That is painful to look at Hogasm.  I know it's been awhile since it happened but still damned sorry the motor broke.  They looked beautiful too.  I've got jugs, heads and bridges in a box right now ready to go first to Sumax and then on to Diamond for cutting.  Just waiting for some paint chips to get here from Sumax first.  I'll offer a special prayer to the motorcycle Gods that these new pretty parts don't die so unmercifully.

Because after seeing the diamond cut work on the fins of his engine, and how good looking it was, I want to do this so bad I could bite (powder coated) aluminum.

The Dawgs are done and back at Zippers waiting for final assembly. I had sent out the spares  back in Jan of 05 to be cut. I stayed with the natural silver though.

For those of you that are interested I do have a set of 3.875 cylinders, 5 over pistons already fitted to the cylinders (10.5 to 1) and a set of super trick 103 plus heads all diamond cut for sale. Contact THE DAWG!!!!!

Be Safe
