Where did you have them done and how much?
Place called Diamond Heads did the cutting work. Been long enough ago don't remember what they charged. They used to have prices on their website (
http://www.diamond-heads.com ) but no longer do. Apparently pre-known current prices would scare people off?
The work on mine was fine. The company was a chore to deal with though. Very slow. Not too responsive to informational requests. They also have a reputation for jealously/zealously guarding the cutting process. They somehow managed to convince the Patent Office to grant a patent for the working of a machine tool to do this work. Now if another shop tries to advertise the process this one apparently gets cranky.
My experience with the work and the process is such that I love the look. But I'd not do it again with that shop. I'd find someone doing it quietly on their or get a few junk cylinders off of eBay and learn the technique on my own.
