What Mods Do You Have Planned for 2012?
« on: December 30, 2011, 03:42:53 PM »

Yep...what's on your list for the coming year? Here is what I have planned for the Red Roadie:

1. Bike is already apart in the garage...waiting on a package from Fullsac. Going with the 2" cores this time.  :2vrolijk_21:
2. J&M ROKKER speakers in the fairing and rear pods.  :orange:

Hey Jerry,

I had J&M speakers in my '07 Ultra...they suck. Waste of money.  When I saw Factory reps at IMS in NYC last year, they said "sorry, try our newer speakers". Plain crap.  Look at Hog Tunes site or Hog Wired and go with a reputable auto speaker and amp.  J&M couldn't make a good speaker if they're life depended on it.

Almost a complete sound system overhaul and other:

New fairing Rokkers, lower fairings, lower fairing Rokkers, rear pod Rokkers, saddlebag lid Rokkers, J&M 500 watt amp, LED headlight and aux lights, iPod kit and a new battery.  Can't wait for all this to be installed.

I also plan to install Fullsac header pipe as well.

I'll have to agree that the J&M amp and speaker upgrade isnt worth the money you have to pay for it. Better than stock, but not that much better.

I'm thinking about changing my lifters before they die prematurely and cost me a fortune.

Got the '12 CVO Ultra in Nov., rode it in the cold for 1300km (800 m), got it on the Dyno for stock # and now it's getting an engine build along with 4 J&M Rokker speaker upgrade.
The build is on temporary hold because the 2012 have new type of piston rings not in stock anywhere in Canada, so they are on order from the Moco

Planning to pay my dealer's electric bill for all of 2012:

H-D SE Pro Tuner
H-D SE 10.5:1 Pistons
H-D SE Tapered Pushrods
H-D SE HV Oil Pump and Cam Plate
Foster H-D Custom Cams
Fueling RS Lifters & Springs
New cam bearings
Fullsac Pipe
Rinehart 4" Mufflers
RSD Air Cleaner
H-D Glove Box Door Locks
H-D Oil Temp Gauge (that air temp gauge--??--worthless!)
H-D Shorty Antennas
H-D Black Ice Agitator Wheels
H-D Profile Saddlebag Guards
Cee Bailey 17" Shield
Ported and polished heads
...and a bunch of minor add-ons.

Going to be a busy year, but probably won't get to log more than 300 miles.
