Got the Frontier back today from the dyno tune.
But before I go there I have to say this.
Knowing that the Frontier had lots of potential I realized that I need to give Nancy's bike a little boost to keep her happy.
That increase was one of her Christmas presents. For those of you that know her also know that horsepower is right up there with diamonds in her book.
So the Lowrider was at 105 H/P and 107 T but with the right combination of goodies it is now at 126 H/P and 121 T. So now that Nancy has a few more ponies it was time for the Frontier.
In the never ending search for more horsepower I knew that the Frontier had a few hurdles it could never cross. One of those being a "B" motor which I'm told will rob about 3 to 5 horsepower. The second hurdle being the Jims RSD 6 speed tramsmission which sucks up another 3 horsepower. The final hurdle being the big one,,, the 280 rear tire. I have had numerous people in the know say that the 280 takes a lot of H/P to spin the dyno. I was told it sucks almost 10 H/P from the final reading. What all that means is that a comparable "A" motor, 5 speed with a 140 rear tire would show about 16 more horepower with the same upgrades. But it is what it is and below is the dyno sheet from today. I have a few more upgrades to do but overall I'm happy with the end result.
