  Been off for awhile,I wanted to share some news,
I have my ride over to Hillside in NY for their heads
and a stage III build. Scott and Craig are straight
up guys.
 They are telling me with my 58mm reworked and
set of 10.5's and a set of S&S 625 cams coupled
up with my V&H 2/1 HO exhaust and their heads I
have the makins of a top producer...
  After they are done with their craftmanship,
it's heading over to Joe's in Mechanicville,NY for his
magic with a DirectLink Tuner.Joe tuned my ride last
year...I have to say between Joe and Scott's team
I'm feeling good about the extra $$$ spent.

   I picked it up from Hillside and now I just have to get it back to Joe's Cycle for the tune.
Hillside told me they got a very good flow out of the heads and they too are waiting for the
numbers.

I'm curious what your crank run out was when they checked it?

Might get the point in the wrong place. Paperwork is all at the house 0.30 or .003 cant remember.I'll have to check it Scott wrote it down on my invoice.

Crank runout is "how many thousandths from it being truly straight".  It is usually measured on the cam side of the crankshaft.  Anything more than .003 or .004 usually means trouble if you want to use gear drive cams.

Used to be .003 was maximum until the 07's started having issues then the MOCO decided up to 12 thousand is ok.

yea during my build  my crank runout was aprox .005  with aprox 7,000 miles after darkhorse magic  my crank runout is .001
