I'm vertically challenged too - just under 5'6".  I end up with the same riding position as you, hunched between the blades.

On my 100th Anniversary Ultra, I fitted the MoCo's touring pullbacks. They were OK, not great.

On my 07 CUSE2 and on my current 09 CUSE4, I've fitted WO575s.  They are better, but still not as good as I need - they are substantially wider than stock barz, but there isn't enough pullback.  My idea bars would be WO575 but 2" narrower, and with another 2" pullback. Haven't found these barz yet.  :(

As an aside, the WO575 fit with standard wiring, brake lines, and clutch pipe on TBW bikes.  Clutch pipe is just long enough.  (On earlier bikes, though you could get away with the clutch pipe, you needed longer throttle and idle cables, and a longer front brake line - none of that necessary on TBW with ABS.)

HD Touring Pullbacks are 2" up and 2" back and contrary to the HD web site or the catalog, they are chrome not polished stainless.

Mine were (still have them in a box somewhere) definitely polished stainless, JC.  Maybe they've changed them since then, of course...  :nixweiss:

i have a set of thees bars and have not installed them. i got them because of the "hunch".... but they are twisted in more at the ends and my wrists hurt like (*& if i cant hold them dead straight... so now that you have them on - are your wrists turned more? or do they turn down enough to compensate?

what i asked for was 2" straight back - but they are sort of ... swept back at the ends....

Yes, I remember now - that was what I didn't like about them.

Anyone have a PN for these HD Touring Pullbacks?  Will they fit the 2006 and any issues with the heated grips?

I think you need a different part for pre 2009 bikes (not certain though.) Mine (on my 100th Anniversary Ultra) were 55935-98, but I don't know if that's still current.  I had HD heated grips on those.

The issue is, on the HD Pull Back bar they recommend for my year, PN# 55914-98

It's states: Does not fit models equipped with Heated Hand Grips with internal switch wiring, Hydraulic Clutch Kits, or Sidecar.

That is the only PN that comes up for a 2006, so I'm concerned. They are special order, so I don't want to goof these up.

Also, PN# 56716-08 doesn't come up.  55935-98 comes up as a reach seat?

55935-98 comes up as a reach seat?

No, it takes you to a reach seat with a different part number, I guess because it realises that you want to make the you-bars distance smaller, so I suspect that part number is discontinued.  It is the correct one though - stick it into Google and you'll see, for example:

http://www.eharleyparts.com/cart/Harley-Davidson_Touring_2_inch_Pullback_Handlebar_Kit,_1997-2001_Electra_Glide_Models_55935-98_55914-98

It has no holes for internal wiring, but that's easy to fix....

Have you thought about fittins some apes on there and leaing them back? A lot of ape hangers stay narrow and would keep your wrists straight. Grab a friend to measure the distance from the bar clamp to where you want your hands, and find the appropriate length, like 12" if you want them way back.

Incredable!  Terrie switched to the Klockwerks Ergo bars a couple of months ago but liked them even less.  I had Jim order another set of HD Touring pullbacks (that was about six weeks ago) .  Others that's posted on here that they've switched have said the same (that there's are chrome) :2vrolijk_21:  I guess it's possible that the MoCo has a different supplier now and they're now making them in polished ss (which would not work well with chrome control and switch housings).

To be clear, we're talking about # 56176-08    http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442242105&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302287417&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302287417&locale=en_US&bmUID=1328129343485&bmLocale=en_US

By the way.....those that I'm familiar with that have done this mod over and over are on the Steet Glide board and we don't have heated grips.
