My local dealer has many 2006 scooters up to $1500 below list including 2 SE Fat Boys, this is the way it should be supply and demand leveling off!!! [smiley=pumpkin.gif]

$1,500 off SE Fat Boys, is that ALL?!?!?  The dealer 60 miles south of me has had them for $3,000 off for the past 9 months or so.  Them bikes just aren't selling either, along with the SE V-Rods.

Rjob, that stock graph looks like the HP curve on one of our 103's - - which is to say FLAT at the end (and ready to fall off)!
Not much movement over the past five years, but quite strong before that.  I hope they can get the upward trend going again soon!

Yikes MSFT from $60 to $23 even with a split it sucks for them, and HDI had a split after 2000 and stayed up in the $50 range.

Was talking about the period 2000 - current.  They haven't dropped or leveled during that time, as your graph shows. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

have you guys factored this in?   They sell the new models when they come out at a high, then clear the bikes out at what they should really be priced at.  Do they lose?  I do not think so.  In the mean time, they rake it in in sales of parts and clothing and rape us in the Service dept.

Riding around yesterday, we stopped at our very close to home HD shop.  We asked the friendly salesman, that my husband bought his 04 CVO from in 03 - for MSRP, what he thought the 07's would be priced at.  When I asked to buy an 05 in 04 from them, they wanted a $1500 premium.  Of course, we bought else where.  Well, we were told that they expected the owner to add a $2000 premium for the 07's.  On the floor, right now, with highly inflated prices, the dealer has two 06 CVO fatboys and a VRod and a reduced price - down to MSRP - an 05 CVO fatboy.  They also have a home made 05 Screamn Eagle VRod, nice teal shade, for almost a fair price.  All of these bikes have been on the floor for quite sometime.  Seems the principle has a lot of patience.

MRS WE I was just there yesterday. Picked up a couple of tee shirts and looked around. A sweet little voice from Georgia was on the phone when I was looking at the CVO's and said DON'T DO IT you will regret it when you write that first check. Glad I listen well.

Hey there DCFireman, sorry we missed you.  We might have been walking around the store at the same time and did not even know it.  We had gone in the cage, so you would not have recognized the bikes, and we were not looking around much.  We live less than five miles from the shop.  

Yesterday, though, we did get out on the bikes. Actually, as long as we kept moving it was not too bad for temps.
