Part number 50096-09 won't fit an 2007 ultra.

I guess I will machine a block of delrin and screw it to the bottom of the kickstand.  Fooling around with a 2x4 coaster is a royal pain in the A$$.

Still looking for ideas on this.

Much of the upward motion of the kickstand when leaning the bike over is the cantilevering action of the locking mechanism into place.  I was wondering if I could drill and tap a hole in the lower outside of the kickstand and insert a set screw that would take up some of the wasted space and force the locking mechanism into place earllier which would keep the kickstand from pivoting so far upward?

you might consider loosening the three bolts that attach the kstand brkt to frame  and shim out the TOP two bolts ( this will straighten the bike up to a more vertical position ) with 3-4 washers and tighten it all back up .. works for me altho I did cut a plate instead of the washers ( as I have a cnc plasma machine) .. jus an idea ..

The problem with that is that the left rear rider footrest support bracket attaches to the face of the bracket and it rotates it to an unacceptable angle for the footrest.

Not an easy fix!

I"m think ifn ya look at it .. its only gonna kick it out about 3/16" or1/4" .. not even noticeable in relationship to floorboard.. jus sayin
