Share similar sentiments....wonder if the mess that the MoCo had with paint on the 06 ultras led them to the bland paint schemes they've come up with.  The 04/05 SEEG's flame jobs are so much better looking (IMHO) than what they've come out with.  Also...the 110 ups you just a little bit in torque over a stock 103...but no mention of HP change in the specs....REALLY glad I didn't get an 06 CUSE and opted for the 04 instead....and even happier that I sold my 02 95" SERK a few months ago!

No reason to go out and buy a new bike yet! The 2007 paint does not give me the wow factor I got with the 2004 seeg. [smiley=pumpkin.gif]

Yeah, I'm with you on that.....Just send me one with primer and I'll find a painter.

The RoadKing paint is the strangest selection from the MoCo of all.  They have some pretty sweet "custom" paint sets that you can buy directly from them...with metal flake flames and a lot of depth.  Perhaps the picture doesn't do it justice but I wonder what they were thinking with that one.  The 18" wheels look pretty nice on that bike, though....

On a positive note, the "simpler" paint schemes may actually be repairable in the field as opposed to buying new tins every time you have a mishap.  I'd much rather give my local painter $200-$400 to repaint a fuel tank, for instance, rather than give Harley $1200 + for a new tank.

Think I just posted about the same thing up in the thread for the 07 model release.  I'll keep my black and blue 04 SEEG, too.

Although GRC does make a very good point about repair (repaint) in the field.

The CVO paint is now being done by Thunder Mountain Motorcycles out of Colorado.

I'll be keeping my 04 SEEG.  When I first saw the black and blue, I knew I had to have it.  The new bikes just don't do it for me.  If I were to buy another bike, it would be the 05 SEEG in candy teal.  I have only seen one so far, they didn't make very many of this color. [smiley=jalapeno.gif]

On the topic of "repaint"...while you're probably right....let's be honest...one of the reasons we got these bikes (in addition to the awesome power and functionality) is the fact that they stand out in a sea of basic black or two tone touring machines.  While I'm not rushing to spend $1200 for a new tank....I do have full coverage insurance and we all had the fiscal wherewithal to plunk down $30k on a toy...for my $30k I'll keep my b/b screamer with paint that shrieks "ride me really fast" and let my State Farm agent worry about the cost of the tank.....so...guess I'll pass on the 07 CUSE!

I think you're right about them not making many of the  [smiley=jalapeno.gif].  I've only seen a few, I just looked up on mine and I'm glad I did.

Tbone, last year I ran into a guy who works at the Tomahawk plant.  They do the fiberglass painted parts in Tomahawk.  He told me they started production on the teal and all of a sudden they stopped and went to the red.  The teal came out first and they went by customer reaction.  I've only seen one on the showroom floor, the lighting sucked so I wasn't impressed.  I would like to see one in the sun.  I would say the candy teal is the rarest of all CVOs, well except for the 02 red Roadkings. That's interesting info Loose.  Starting production with the Teal makes since, I bought mine in August 2004 and the dealer had just put it on the floor the morning I bought it.  I really like the color and it does attract a lot of attention, maybe because the are rare.  I really would like to know if they are.
