3000 dollar budget
« on: February 28, 2012, 05:35:04 PM »

The budget is 3000 thats including all labor and tuning. Can i get some suggestions on the most bang for the buck performance?Already have TTS tuner V&H big shots(i know there not the best for power )and it was tuned to 99 hp 114 tq (some people tell me the dyno was good to me)but everyone has opinions on whose numbers are accurate. All I can do is go by the sheet the tuner gave me.Thanks  :nixweiss:

I would suggest deciding what it is you're looking to accomplish first off.  Then find a builder you trust and start the dialogue.  Let him give you some guidance and then run his suggestions here in a thread.  Since you have already done the pipes and turner, you should be able to do a descent build for $3000.
Good luck and I'll be looking forward to seeing how things turn out.

I'm alway curious as to what people want to accomplish. Do you want HP/TQ
numbers, faster bike what? Do you have a baseline to start with?

I've seen people run a couple of 1/4 runs, monitoring the temperature
wind and humidity, then put a bunch of money into a bike, and find out
they gained a whole tenth or two in their times.

Just saying!!!

I want a bike that pulls real hard from 2500 - 6000 that can pass without downshifting and smoke the tire in second. Also want it to sound radical and do not want to be passed to often if thats possible on this budget.

Add to the budget a performance proven pipe.
Pipe choice is critical on a 110

How much would you need to mill off of a set of CVO 110 heads to get the CR up to 10.0 if using a 0.030" gasket?

That would be as much as it takes to get to 92cc.
A fluid check would tell where the heads start at.

How about a nitrous oxide kit. Probably under $1000 installed. And it will smoke this guy's tire in any gear.  Party time.

Good idea
I am loking at something in the $3K Range +
So far I have talked with Dave Mackie Engineering and Big Boyz. Both have been very informative and have helped me focus in on what i want to do.

Cheers

Better plan on a good quality clutch as well..
