Ever since I got my  :bananarock: in 2005 I've been unable to understand why anyone that owned only one bike would have anything but a "batwing" bike. I had friends buy RK's, Springers and even Vrods to ride as their only ride and I never understood why. Well, reading this thread I just realized I have not ridden the nana since my trip to N. Georgia in October, I stopped by Traction Dynamics and had them do the front end that Monday. I unloaded her from the trailer that night and have not ridden her since. Everytime I have ridden since that Saturday in N Georgia, it has been Elvis.
Subconsciously I have jumped on the SERK every time. HUMMMMMMMMMMMMM (scratching me head)

Please PM me your address.

It's not terminal.
There is a cure.

Mark, it's not the the Road King isn't a cross country bike.  They certainly are and I've done it.  Many many miles on Road Kings.  Given the option of each in the garage though, with forethought which would you climb on for a trip longer than a weekend run?

Now that is a very good point Don. I've done nothing but short rides in November and December. There would be no doubt which bike I'd jump on if I was going anywhere other than a quick trip in town. Good point, I feel better now.
But Chip, send the drugs along anyway. ;D

Mark,  I am kinda thinking along the lines of Don, too.  We have two SEEGs and a very nice RK in the garage.  When it is really hot - you know the type - 90+ with humidity, I lean to liking to ride the Road King if it is just a that-a-way type of ride, home for dinner and bed type of ride.  But other than that, I am choosing my SEEG.  Course, for me, the SEEG fits me better, but the RK is not uncomfortable or anything by the stretch of anyone's imagination. I just find the ride more comfortable on the SEEG and I love the cozy feeling that fairings give you.  Both bikes are great, both look great, both ride great, but for any kind of saddle time, for some reason, the glide is just that tad bit more comfortable, has the tunes.  In your case, both great bikes.  It would be hard not to ride them both equally for around town rides.
