I told Sheriff Stone some of my friends were coming on Easter weekend and he named you all from memory. He is very proud of "his" town and will gladly take you on a tour.
Be sure you all take a kickstand puck because most all of the terra firma near the cabins is loose dirt. The road in and out is paved, but the edge of town turns to desert consistency.
I highly recommend The Happy Burro for chili in Beatty.
Thanks for the heads up Jimmy. I don't believe I've got a kickstand puck but I'll figure something out in the next week.....an empty drink can works great in a pinch.
Ya know, there's still a cabin available.....you'd be able to say "once, years ago, I spent a night in Gold Point, Nevada and what an 'experience' it was!"

What I want to know is who got the cabin with newspaper for wall paper? That one struck me as the most interesting but I was looking for convienent parking.
