HELP !! Looking to buy an 07 CVO Ultra
« on: July 22, 2006, 03:58:27 AM »

I live in Northern Illinois and cannot find any local dealer who will take a deposit or reserve an 07 CVO Ultra in Orange/Black. My personal dealer who I have bought two bikes from in the past two years told me today that the four CVO Ultras they are getting have already been promised to some "Repeat Customers". This was a slap in the face, especially considering I was willing to put down a deposit to hold the color I want but appearantly these bikes are more popular than I predicted. I just sold my 2006 Ultra which will be gone next week and I am ready to make a move on a new CVO Ultra, even if I have to wait which I expect to. If anyone knows of a large volume dealer somewhere in the midwest (driving distance from Chicago) that will sell me one of these bad boy's I would appreciate the info so I can hopefully become a CVO owner soon. Thanks

If you want a CVO this is the place that has them. Contact George (by Phone) Dealer number on there web site. If you email them they are slow to respond, Depends when the IT guy comes in :)

I purchased mine 06 in june from them and they will have what you want (as soon as it's built) or sooner.

Give GEorge a call and tell him "Wayne From VA Says Hello"

PS: The repeat buyer Bullchit is the same thing I got from VA Dealers This Dealer Will have Product when know one else will. Good luck and let us know how it went.

Hey! Copout221
Don't feel bad about your dealer having his bikes already sold, almost every dealer has there's sold months before they arrived. I was able to put a deposit on the 07's six months before they were due out. But things change and just keep checking , guy's will change there mind and there will be bikes available.

First of all...Welcome to the site!

As for a dealer "driving distance from Chicago", that is a relative term. Some folks have even done the fly there-ride back thing. Anyway, the dealers will have bikes to sell. Many people put deposits down sight unseen for the new CVOs, then for whatever reasons decide against the purchase. Just call around, and then call again. Things change, people drop off the list. So keep calling back. You will find one. And now that you put the word out here, we'll keep an eye out for you too. Of course if we find one for you, we get to help spend all your money on cool, shinny parts for it ;D

Copout,
Welcome to the site. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] One of our members here works PT for a dealer in sales and is in Illinois you may want to send him a PM. Not sure if he can help you but it's worth a shot. Good luck.

Make sure you truly understand the dealer's selling theories.  I bought my bike in '03 from a dealer who would not sell outside of a 100 mile radius of the store.  I lived at that time, 98 miles from the store, and had to prove it.  I had called as North as Maine, as South as Florida, West as Texas and Chicago and all in between trying to find the BnB that I wanted ----- at MSRP.  For the wife's Cherry, I asked at the local shop and a couple close by and they wanted ridiculous premiums, but I found one on the floor, for sale at MSRP just two hours away.  I think the salesman was kinda surprised when we walked in the day after locating it with checkbook in hand, and I drove it away a couple hours later, after all the paperwork was done.  Ask about the set up fees and stuff too, cause these can add up quick.  And don't give up.  I got mine because the original purchaser got cold feet after it came in.  Lot's of luck in your quest. If it is meant to be, it will.

We dont have that problem here....at Bob Drons HD  in Oakland...they made it quite clear that they would whore it out to a guy down in L.A. if I didnt want to pay their mark up, after I tried to use the , 'Dont I get any customer loyalty points ?' pitch.

Thanks, I may try them next. I am trying to exhaust all my options locally before heading 20hrs away to get one. My next calls and emails will be to dealers in Florida. It seems the bikes are easier to get down there !!!
