New Cam on the horizon
« on: April 04, 2012, 07:46:13 PM »

I just learned of a new cam that is on the horizon for the 110's.   Thought some might be interested in this dynosheet.

Why screw around sucking up to someone being too coy by half when the shop that either is or will be selling the cam has their name and phone number plastered across the top of the dyno sheet?  Call GMR.

He's a site member here and has repeatedly proved to be more than helpful and forthcoming with site members.  No reason to believe he wouldn't tell you all he could.  Since he's apparently actually worked with the cam he'd be a primary source anyway.

I could give a rat's ass about this cam but thought I'd at least entertain the thought of giving it a name since it was thrown out there.

Wow, That's a beautiful torque curve!

Two questions:

Did you see or hear the bike running?  Is the mysterious cam as quiet as the Fueling 574 or CR 575?

And  What the hell is up with the stock dyno run?  What would cause such ragged curves?

OK, that's 4 questions, but only need two answers.

The power curve is box stock, .  AFR is  17.1 plus afr, runs great, pings great too.. We see this on many of the stock bikes. Not all but many.

The cam is the andrews 57. , for a bolt in it made very good power early on. Cam is not a ticker, clacker.

Do I get anything for guessing it right?  Maybe a set in 99-06 gear drive to test in my 103....

Wasn't being Coy or Stirring the pop despite Don's desire to paint it that way.  ofw.   I wasn't sure it was going to be the 57, as I was told there are some "changes" they are playing with still like timing and lobe separation.   I thought it might be interesting to some as this is the first one that was installed and I didnt have the specs to even share them just the results from a guy in Phoenix.  May be good solution for some if it comes to fruition.

I surely didnt figure anyone would miss the GMR on the dynosheet to know where it came from  :nixweiss:

Sorry to those that were lead astray wasn't the intent only that another possible cam for the 110 was in process.

No harm done at least from where I see it. .. SHEEESS some guys need to relax a bit.  Just a cam that was bolted into a 110 and theres the results. Add it to the other cams that are bolt ins. One more option in cam selection for a 110.
