Burn Outs

Well just wondering if anyone has been lighting up the rear tire? Man these 11 and 12s do it pretty easy. Any pics appreciated!

Not ME .. My money and efforts are are hard earned .. most would kill to have these bikes OR have killed their selves in order to have em and keep em NICE.. JMHO .. yours may vary ..

Maybe some of us are just kids at 50+ years of age??? I have done a couple, first happened by accident, the second was right after the first, to see if what happened, will repeat itself...

I have not but a friend puts on a big ride of motorcycles and hot rods every year. You just can't deny the cool factor of a 65 year old guy who just did a 2 year ground up rotissary restore on an old muscle car maybe a week after completion who's pulling huge burnouts with it. Some of these guys easily have $50-60K in these cars and they build them just to have fun with.

I suppose there are all kinds of folks out there, some who buy a brands performance model as an art piece and some who buy them to as a performance piece. I always love it when I run across the guy who has a 5 year old awesome Z06 with 5,000 miles on it. To each his own. Me? I'm not the kind who would buy something just to look at. I and most of you here bought the 110 CI CVO to ride and enjoy. But we don't want to break it either.

If you all want to send me some money I'll put big cams, pistons, headwork, larger throttle body and all the other cool performance stuff on my CVO and do some burn out videos for you. I'll supply the tires.

Stop on an oily spot in the road at a traffic light, then get distracted by the hot blond in the convertible in the next lane and give it too much throttle when leaving the light. ;)

What GRC said is eerily close to what happened to me. Wet spot, I think. It was cool! But I tried it with dumping the clutch at 3K as I twisted it to 100% and it smoked it until i let off the front brake and it caught traction as I power shifted it into 2nd gear and the front end was fully extended and felt very light. Now that I know how to do a burn out with this bike, I probably won't do it accidently again... :D

That doesn't sound like an accident, when you wind the throttle to 100% while holding the front brake on a wet spot. Sounds like the word "accident" is something I might have told my dad when I was a kid. :confused5:

Perhaps a reread is in order. There were 2 burn outs in my post, the first had nothing to do with brake, or 100%.. All of that is to try one(burn out) for real after accidently spinning it at a light the first time...
Hope that clears up the accidental vs. on purpose.
