Feb 1998 or 99, on the Road King...daytona bike week...loaded the bike in the back of the truck...left Friday Morning from MA, 4" of fresh snow on the ground...more falling.  Spent 2 weeks down the, first in daytona, the second in orlando...made Anne Drive the truck while I rode when we changed locations, I never drove the truck and put over 2500 miles on in those 2 weeks in FL alone...MANY HD Shirts!

RI...the closest Freakin' one and we have NOT ridden there together!  Like you once said...we had to ride 1000 miles to first meet while we are only 50 miles apart!

Bill, I think we touched five states that day going from Maggie Valley to York.  Throw Colorado in on top of that and we're at a nice round half dozen  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] .

Obviously you and Bill need to buzz up to the Maritimes together and better color coordinate that map some weekend.  It's funny but my experience is very similar in a different sort of way.  I think my "map" would show all the continental states but Idaho (don't know how, always just missed it) and all the border Provinces, a couple more farther north and a small handful of Mexican states.  But over the years I'd gotten completely out of the habit of riding with some one.

Trips were always something of a solitary adventure or mental rest stop anyway.  So aside from like a local little ride to dinner or something like that I just rarely shared pavement with anyone anymore though.  Did on some old car junkets or other types of travel.  But rarely on the bike.  Then this little collection of maniacs helped remind me how much fun it was.

Your map doesn't recognize the eastern shore of Virginia nor the panhandle of Maryland...Waht are you using that you can pick your colors???  I just went with an RV one...but they don't include HI...where I did Ride...A rental...but I did Ride!

Interesting...Anne and I pretty much rode on our own doing our own thing...back when we were in Daytona, we went alone.  A few friends have bikes and we ride with them occasionally but as far as a big trips go...it is through this website that I have been part of group rides.
