Unless I missed it, I didn't find Skyline Drive listed among the topics in these ride reports.  This 105 miles of road in Virginia is a great ride.  You can probably find details on a website somewhere, but if you're ever in the area, you need to ride this road and take some time to stop at some of the many overlooks.

I'm closer to it than (firedood) it is my backyard- rode it this am and have breakfast at the Brookside- Nice place stop in sometime.

I have talked about this ride for a few years. It's even close. I have a few friends that have talked about doing it this year in late september.

Gary I just purchased a 32' toy hauler. We were going to set up in a camp site and ride during the day and raise hell at night.

You are more than welcome if you can get a kitchen pass. Also I have to see what the doctor says.

It looks like it's time for another photo for this thread.  Here's a look at the Shenandoah Valley from one of the overlooks.

As I recall, there are about 70 scenic overlooks in the park.  I think that most of them are along Skyline Drive.  Most of the ones along the West side of the road overlook the Shenandoah Valley.

Agreed. Very nice mellow ride. Lots overlooks that, when the haze is gone, you can see almost forever.
